Getting to Know the CTEC Qualifying Education (QE) Requirements

The California Tax Education Council (CTEC) requires all tax professionals who prepare taxes for profit in the state of California to complete a 60-hour qualifying education. The goal is to promote competent tax preparation within the State of California. The CTEC 60-hour course is comprised of 43 hours of federal tax topics, 2 hours of ethics, and 15 hours of California tax topics.
