My learning style is by storytelling. That's one of the reasons I enjoyed the course and did well on the testing.
At the beginning of 'rules 5 - 1' there is a section where it counts up instead of down. I.e. "5, 6 ,7" when the clear intent is "5, 4, 3."

I disagreed with some of the answers. 30 days from 5/2/2024 is 6/1/2024 as there are 31 days in May. The answer indicated that 6/2/2024 was the deadline.

Very informative and easy to follow.
I have used webCE for years to recertify my adjuster's license every two years (though under a previous account). Imagine my surprise this time to find that DEI has infected even this material. References to equity and diversity should not apply to adjuster decision-making. The policy is a contract between company and policyholder, and coverage/denial decisions are based on policy language and applied consistently to ALL policyholders regardless of their "culture." Additionally, wikipedia is quoted as source material in one of the slides. That alone invalidates the respectability of the entire presentation, since widipedia is a constantly-revised, user-defined platform. I will not be using webCE for my next renewal if this same Ethics model is present in two years.

I haven't taken this course in 3 years. I like that there weren't as many practice questions this time, which reduced the total time required to complete the course to about 2-3 hours. Much appreciated!

The questions could be simplified.
I thought the course met the stated objectives without being to long or complicated.
Questions were written poorly and allowed room for subjective answers. If testing, needs to be more black and white. Many answers were written in the book upon review so that is how I knew it wasn't correct on the test but, the answer could be technically correct in certain circumstances. I do not believe those are fair questions and answers to present.

A significant portion of the provided wording could easily be omitted from the course with no adverse affects on the comprehension of the course material or the Final Exam proficiency, in my opinion.
The content covered in this course was too vast. Some of the test questions were confusing or vague and even with the Search option it was difficult to determine the correct answer.

Course was all reading, no video or other learning methods. it was very long and even though it was read aloud the time it took to do so was half the time required to be in the course, so I went through it a second time and still had time left over.

It seems that multiple options for answers are feasible for the test. Multiple answers would apply. I have always felt this way since becoming an adjuster and using WebCE. Some of the questions seem overly complicated.

This last course the 15 Rules, the time seemed to be off ... I did not skip any part, read through all the chapters, took all the practices tests got to the end and I had 2.5 hours to go yet to be able to take the test... so I had to redo the whole thing over again.. so may want to look at the time frame on this one. The other ones were not like that.. just this one.

I liked the ease of the whole program.
In error I put my license number under OH than OK and I was not able to change it. I had to take the quiz and exam again. There should be an option that we can change it.
The one thing I really dislike was using Wikipedia as a reference: "As stated in Wikipedia, in psychology, self-esteem reflects a person’s overall self-appraisal of his or her own worth.". This is a cardinal sin in sourcing reference material, especially when referring to a science such as Psychology where there are millions upon millions of credible, and scientific source material. The word 'Pyschology' was also misspelled as it wasn't capitalized.
The only problems I had were that for some reason I had two accounts. But I called the number listed and a very nice young woman got it right for me.
This was the best one yet. I loved the being able to skip the summary page instead of waiting 2 mins for them to read it to me. was amazing. Thank you again
the discussion of how to show respect fails to take into account neurodiversity. It mentions that the easiest way to show respect is to maintain eye contact. This can be difficult to someone who is neuro-atypical. Statements like these generalities should be more inclusive.
I liked the course, though I would advise having a Continuing Education course reference Wikipedia in the lessons. Since Wikipedia is known to not be a primary source and full in incorrect info as anyone online can update it.

the auto generated course study is awful. A live narrator would be much better and the study would flow. It's difficult to listen to the auto gen voice especially when prompts like III are referred to as "eye eye eye" instead of "section 3" or the like
I'm guessing that Chapter 6 quiz - question 2 was a "trick" question because Values Descriptor: Open minded = Quality Descriptor: Friendly. All other choices were Values Descriptors which made: Respect for others the only option. This hung me up on the question for way longer than it should have. I didn't like the trickery.

You guys used "Demonic Insurance Company" as a fictitious insurance company in one of the Exam questions. That's just really strange. You could have picked any other word. I highly recommend changing that.

The course was excellent, however, maybe too long to complete. Certainly took longer than the 3 hours credit.
There appears to be an error in Chapter 2 under the Rule Number 9 section. It states "All documents need to be date stamped." Then it states, "Note the word 'each.'" But the word "each" is not used in reference to date stamping.

Questions on Exam were more difficult then chapter test.
The AI figure reading the course content is horrible. It cannot follow regular reading norms, when to lower the voice, when to pause etc. Go to "The Countdown continues. Here are the next five....." The reading of that is atrocious, to say the least. It makes it really difficult and annoying to follow along. It is valuable to have the audible version along with reading, I grasp it better that way. For God's sake, just have normal people do the reading who know how to pause at Periods, commas etc.

I took the course in about 2 hours and then had to wait an hour to take the test. Maybe slow the course timing down or make it last longer with more content. We all get it that the course never matches the state timed requirement, so maybe there is a work around or addition needed.

Rule Number 7: Don't Let Fraud Succeed. I was taken aback how personal it seemed rather than factual/professional. One example: "Everyone involved in the business of insurance and everyone who buys insurance must make it clear that they are angry with what is happening to their insurance premium dollar. When I, and everyone who has ever purchased a policy of insurance, hear that $300 out of every $1,000 we pay in premium goes to a criminal, we should all want to scream out the window..."

This course was more applicable then I expected, it was better targeted toward my career field then others I have taken. I felt there was relevant information to not only general ethics but information specifically about the ethics of insurance work.
The auto generated read did not follow proper English etiquette. Instead of stopping at periods. it went straight to the next word or number without interruption. It should be delayed by at least a second before proceeding.

It said I got question #5 on the first chapter wrong but I didnt. There was no red answer highlighted just the green/correct answer which I had gotten right but for some reason it counted it as wrong. Please fix this.

The questions were hard to find. You had to put in your own words to find the answers. I had to look up some of the answers to the questions to see if it would be the correct answer. Took me longer to complete because the way the questions were ask.
I am in IT- the interface is SO easily organized; it is easy to read and the eye follows the content- thank you for thinking this through, most people don't!

The one complaint is that the audio was very monotoned and sometimes combined multiple words into one word.
some of the questions on this particular exam were very very confusing. many of the answers that require a response of what the adjuster is NOT looking for, is based on speculation or opinion, which neither one is a fair assessment and doesn't provide a fair chance at getting the question correct. I've been in insurance for over a decade, and this CE exam was by far one of the poorly worded CE exams I've completed.
Some of the questions had what I believe were no correct answers. Even a careful reading and deliberating over the intent of the question left me with no correct option.

I did take time to review the material before taking the final exam. That was helpful in passing with 100%.

I have ADHD. It was AMAZINGGG to have the option of someone reading the material to me. I get distracted easily and many times have to start over again and again with long material and passages like this one. One of the courses had no read along option, which was hard, but those that did I sincerely appreciate it.

One of the practice questions asserts that a "The photo of a banana peal" would be appropriate documentation for a slip fall claim involving a banana peal. This is incorrect as it uses the indefinite article "a" referring to the banana peal, meaning the photo is not specifically the banana peal which caused the slip/fall. The correct answer should read "A photo of the banana peal".

In using my iPhone mobile device, When I logged into Webce.com to continue the course, I found it very difficult to find my course! Frustrating experience to say the least! I think bit about why claims adjusters are called "adjusters" is inaccurate. That's just the author's opinion.

Some of the language used in the questions is a bit "imprecise" and open to interpretation. To suggest that documenting "thoughts" in the claim is somehow "wrong" is misleading. I believe you meant "personal" thoughts, or perhaps "personal opinions. The claim analysis process requires the expression of thoughts to explain one's decisions.
Being able to review back and forth is very teaching.

I have taken Ethical courses in the past and the ability to re-read through and go back and forth through the teachings. I found myself wanting to read sections even though they were not part of the exam over again. It made me want to build on my personal excellence! I may have arrived a 3 but found self-esteem, knowing now more in detail what I must do in order to project my personal values, of who I am, what my beliefs are grounded on, and how I can demonstrate a higher degree of judgement, and promptness as an insurance professional.

There is definitely alot of reading and education provided during the curriculum. The fact that we are able to go back into the reading during the exam is extremely helpful and a great idea. I also enjoyed the questions on the test as some of the responses were "funny" and actually made me feel less nervous about taking the exam. Also, the ability to have the system read out lout is extremely helpful as my eyes start hurting/blur after a certain amount of reading. Thank you so much for making this exam user friendly and being proactive in helping us feel comfortable in taking the test. Great job!

The AI reading the roman numerals was funny hearing i i i instead of 3. Great study included by Robert Kegan of Harvard University helped me see things differently, as the lesson later explained. Good CE class.

I usually use this site for continuing ed credits. The courses are well written, easy to use, and good quality for the cost.
I know it's hard to write these courses considering all types of claims, but this one was particularly bad from the perspective of a Professional Liability claims examiner. One example is the question about when you can issue a check characterized as a "final payment." It's not that the correct answer to that is wrong, it's just a bit misleading because it's not really relevant in the PL world unless the PL is part of a package that includes a MedPay coverage, and then it's still a bit misleading because there are probably multiple "limit[s] of insurance" in play. There were also two "correct" answers in the first quiz that were painful from the perspective of training adjusters to strive for excellence, while meeting expectations. Then there was the quiz question that had as possible answers "for acting in bad faith" and "for failing to act in good faith." Because good faith and bad faith are binary concepts with no middle-ground, I'm glad I guessed correctly as both of those answers are saying the same thing. Overall just not as well-written as the other courses I've taken on this platform.
There were a couple test questions that could have been a little more clear.
I especially liked how the material was easy to understand and also provided examples of more complicated subject matter for reinforcing of understanding and comprehension.
It would have been more logical for the 15 points to have begun with 1 instead of with 15, counting down to 1. I understand why the author began at 15, but for anyone new or fairly new to claim handling, it would have made more sense to begin at 1.
Web based training is the worst.
The layout of the stated objectives in relation to the information to answer the questions was not in a friendly format - I found it difficult to follow and find the answers needed.

This is the 20th year of my license requirements and I won't need to meet the 24 CE credits needed anymore. I have relied on your courses for 10 years and they have been a good update and expanded look at a variety of claims both in and out of my areas of expertise.

Although the examples used funny names and it was very entertaining, sometimes it was difficult to keep all the players straight. It would be easier to comprehend if you used plain names like Jimmy, Mary, Bob, Tom, and businesses like "the hardware store" or "the dress shop". I do enjoy the read along text approach. It makes all the information easier to comprehend when you hear and read it.

I did note a lack of grammar in some of the questions.
While the content was adequate, the test questions were phrased in subjective ways, such as, "What is THE MOST...."

Overall, this was good, however I found the "Wikipedia" reference to be in poor taste. That is not a credible source and not something that should be cited in an insurance CE class, or any CE class for that matter. Given that literally anyone can go on this website and edit its content, you simply cannot use this as valid source for much of anything. I highly encourage the author of the course to replace that reference with something more educationally sound.

I've been taking CE courses and exams for over 30 years. This is one of the best experiences I have had so far. I appreciated the layout, ease of use, clarity and organization of the material and feedback on the quizzes, the ability to go back and check content during the quizzes and the ability to skim or skip over some of the material and go right to the next section if I'm confident in my ability to answer correctly - it allowed me to rely on my experience and save a lot of time. Nice job!

These final exam questions are extremely difficult to read, not only are some poorly written but they are also very lengthy and so hard to process. Some are fairly easy but the fact that you cannot see which questions you got wrong is extremely frustrating. Taking the chapter quizzes should have been enough. But overall the course was ok.
This test is entirely too long, there are quizzes after each chapter, which do help to prep you for the test. But, I do not understand why the quizzes aren't enough. There were 50 questions on this test and now there are 50 more that we have to take. I understand that learning these things is necessary but the test are very long.

I really like to be able to read along with the audio. I also like that I can speed up or slow down the audio. I did not follow the video ethics course as well.
My opinion of this course and the prior courses taken with WebCE is why I keep coming back to WebCE every two years. The courses are excellent and are designed to be able to retain the knowledge given for years to come.

Presentation/format (reading through materials) dull.
I know we all have different learning styles and I opted out of the video - I prefer to read the content versus watching a video. I intentionally did not select the Ethic courses that I saw were "video" content only.
Simply reading through printed materials a bit dry. Perhaps providing some material/presentation in a different format would make more interesting/engaging.

Some of the questions are ambiguous. Testing my understanding of the content is good, but give me straight questions with straight right or wrong options.
I have never taken an exam like this one and I LOVED IT. I love how each question gave you a blue link in the presentation on where to find the answer but you had to look through the information to obtain it. I ended up reading this presentation twice in a lot of areas which is really good.

Two of the questions that were asked appeared to have two correct answers.
I disliked this course. It was wordy and boring. This is a interesting subject. The best parts of the course were the examples provided to demonstrate course content. It was disappointing to see a important and interesting subject made so boring. It was like slogging through quick sand. So far this is the WebCE class I have most disliked. I feel I did not learn anything new.
Robot voice over is the worst.
Inserted information, such as the codes of ethics provided as examples, should be included in the "read-it-to-me audio"
One of my favorite and most enlightening CE modules. The lesson that we can break bad news in a prompt, empathic manner can often be forgotten in our business, and this course clearly and effectively conveys that lesson.
I enjoyed reading the Ethics course because it was not just focused on what is ethical and what is not. The material broke "ethics" down in to multiple categories providing information about how and why ethic codes are created, what it takes to be an ethical person, working with ethical businesses and organizations.
I thought the content was engaging and on point. I also though it was quite thoughtful.
More interactive content including videos would create a better learning experience.

Also, no carrier I have ever worked for allows the property adjuster to determine CAUSATION - this can get someone in trouble - we are NOT engineers just like we are not lawyers...except I am one...lol...thanks for asking

The course was a bit wordy, but it was very complete and I thought it did a good job of conveying the ideas of the subject matter to the student.
The questions for this test are not written very well.

After years of using WebCE it appears that I am running out of content to select and avoid duplication of courses taken. I would like to see more course options related to adjusting/commercial adjusting.
The course was informative however the way some of it was worded made it hard to understand what was trying to be presented/defined and had to be read over several times.

The test is a bit unfair as some of the questions are reworded from the content making it hard to correctly answer some of the questions.
Loved audio option, and it made it lot easier to complete course than my previous time. Excellent improvement.
The course had too much information for a 3 credit course. Although the course was well done it took way too much time. Also, the difficulty level was significantly harder than the other courses I have completed.
I think it was great, there is nothing I can think of that I would change... I had a little trouble navigating and understanding which classes I needed for my particular license, I have my all lines but I am a work comp adjuster so I wasn't sure if I had to keep it to only work comp type classes but then I figured any of the claims ones were okay - when I put the filter to work comp the only one that came up was a subrogation class... just fyi :) Thanks though this was very helpful!
Some of the questions are very poorly written.
I am not certain the question I missed was worded clearly. I re-read it several times to try and understand the facts. I was please to finish with a 96% despite missing this question.
there was one diagram in this learning session that tied the words on the left to the words on the right by connecting them with lines. it was very difficult to follow the lines to which one it matched up with.
overall length of each chapter
I did not think there could be that much to understand about "ethics", but found the test reinforced what I thought I already understood it to concern after all.

wonderful site, I am a new at renewal CE's, I checked other sites that left me confused, but WebCE is by far the best and easiest, I found all the classes to comply with my state requirements, I loved the fact that there are packages of the CE classes I needed.

This is the first WebCE course that I have done that I found to be confusing, repetitive and not very helpful. There were paragraphs I would have to read over and over again as they just didn't seem to make sense due to the wording. Some of the questions were silly or ambiguous. Part of the problem is that all your other courses I have done have been excellent. This one was just ... not very good. I did not get out of it what I wanted to, that is what happens in the real world with the fad of policy limit /time limit demands and set ups for bad faith and how to handle with 3rd party vs 1st party. Yes, this was TOUCHED on but the rest of it was just not up to your usual standard.

Graphic videos to accompany the audio would make the presentation a lot more appealing / engaging.
I liked the ease in ordering, paying, receiving the product and completing the course.
At least one of the course quiz answers was incorrect which really messes up the tone of the whole course.
The length of the material was less than the required time for the course. It was nice to have an opportunity to review, but I had a whole hour that I had to go back and do so which I felt was much too long.
The Read It To Me Audio was the best.

I would prefer this to be more interactive instead of just reading/audio.
I love that the course is easy to access and easy to understand. The promptness of WEBCE turning in the credentials is a plus as well, because we can get our license renewed quickly.

This was a very intense course and it was important for me to get up and do other things and then go back for another Section. I kept writing notes and using the option to go back to the sections as needed. A lot of materials to cover.
I would recommend not having the readings being as mono tone as they were.
I would like just one answer that one would need to be picked to get the question correct; it seems that there is always 2 answer's that are so close to being correct, and it takes longer to complete the course, thank you, Mark Rust.

Ethics hmmm! the products are written in a way that can be construed as protecting the owner/shareholder. The rules are sent down by governmental agencies which are suspect in their ethical behaviors. Insurance is nothing more than a gamble and those machines are rigged.

It'd be easier to retain the information provided if there were interactive lessons as opposed to reading large paragraphs at one time like short worksheets or fill in the blanks for example.

This was a nice alternative way for me to receive my ethics hours when I was unable to attend an in person class with the insurance companies I write for. I also appreciated that the course did refer to insurance throughout instead of a generic ethics class.

I did not like the reading option. Many pronunciation mistakes and the lack of intonation made it difficult to listen to. Much better, and faster, when I read the text myself. Self-reading also improved comprehension, as I could go faster or slower on my own pace.

This course is easy to use and is very planned out.
Its pretty standard content, I liked the idea of the read aloud audio, but it read much to slowly for me, I ended up using my mac capabilities to read the text at a speed that matched my reading speed. It also would have been nice to be able to access the course outline without having to close out the course.
"III" should be read as "Three" not "eye" "eye" "eye" and "IV" is "Four" not "Eye" "V" are some examples. There were some other words miss-pronounced.

If there is a direction in the middle of the page and it says pause the graphic, the program does not give you enough time to get to the top of the page to pause it and when you have to resume play it returns the audio to the top of the page. Otherwise everything else was good
Great Web Based Course
Would like to see more courses on insurance law for Kentucky and more specific courses for Public Adjusters in Kentucky
Quiz and test questions are extremely wordy and highly confusing. No one needs 6 sentences of information (some irrelavent) with several characters having similar names or cartoon names in order to answer a question. I spent 50% of my time condensing the facts of your questions.
So far I have only take one course but the ease of use and variety of options to study the coursework are very insightful and exemplary.
The read to me audio was great but the voice recording was robotic
end-of-chapter tests are appreciated over the large final exam, especially with a large amount of content.
During the portion about respect, it was said that eye contact was a sign of respect. I am autistic, and I wanted to point out that it is a very neurotypical workdview to say that and it does exclude neurodivergent people who have a hard time with eye contact. It has nothing to do with respect.

I liked having the audio as I learn both reading and listening. The mispronounciations are a little irritating. LOL
The robot reading the slides was extremely hard to listen to and learn from.
I'm a screenreader user and LOVE how accessible your courses are for the most part! I would only ask that any graphics/charts be described. If they weren't in this course, I didn't lose any meaning in the translation, but that could happen in another course. Overall very pleased with my experience!

Since this is the CE product supported by my employer, I will continue to use this platform. I would appreciate more interactive modules to build memory while reviewing the educational material.
Could use a thorough edit. Portions like "Polarity" and "Character Development" seemed very tenuously related to ethics in insurance, while other parts like the "difference" between trust and trustworthiness seemed a bit silly and incorrectly framed.

When searching for phrases for the test I got a lot of no results. Trying to figure out the right key words to put in the search was frustrating.

I wasn't aware of the drop down to select only insurance adjuster courses and had to consult with a representative. Lat time I ended up with agent/broker courses that were not my field.
I feel like I would have a better understanding and scored higher if there were videos explaining scenarios of what we are learning. So having short clips with characters for each chapter and topic would have been more entertaining than reading through the chapter.

The Chapter 2 End of Chapter Review asks questions about information not covered until subsequent chapters. For example it asked about evidence when evidence is not discussed until Ch 3, pertinent communications and how/when they need to be responded to, denial of coverage, and time frame when payment needs to be issued by.
I appreciated being able to have the audio read the content to me. Super helpful.

The material was very easy to read and understand. Also very helpful in helping me to be more productive when it comes to Ethics. The price is very reasonable also.
For a person with challenged eyesight, this was a long class. but a very good class. it spoke to me in my personal life and showed me areas of opportunity to grow. thank you!

I really like the new feature of reading the course to me so I can just listen and follow along. Also, I saw that you can now see the questions you got wrong at the end of the exam. I always wanted that feature so I could learn from my mistakes. I didn't need it on this course though since I got 100%.
I like the audio concept. The narrator need to energize the monotone presentation

The format of this one was different and a little more difficult.
This course was very clear and concise.
The exam questions are confusing and poorly written. Some questions were vague and had multiple answers. One exam question discusses state z but the options say state x.
Good course although some of the test questions were unclear.
Course was easy to follow and contained the appropriate information.
It was unclear how many Sections I would be completing in order to manage my time. It turned out to be 7 sections, but it was not clear up front

I think you should make a course like this for all of our public officials. They should be required to take it annually.
What i liked most about this course was its relevance to my personal development as an individual. It was interesting to review the qualities that reflect character and integrity in the context of our current political climate and what constitutes groupthink vs individual responsibility. “The happiness of every country depends upon the character of its people, rather than the form of its government.”
