Certified Fraud Examiner CPE Requirements

What are the CPE Requirements for the CFE Certification?

20 hours

Are there any subject area requirements for ACFE CFE CPE?

Detection and deterrence of fraud: 10 CPE hours
Ethics: 2 CPE hours

When does CFE CPE have to be completed?

Annually be the end of the anniversary month, which is the month the ACFE membership is renewed.

Can CFE CPE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?

Up to 10 hours can be carried over to meet current CPE requirements. CPE earned prior to earning your CFE credential are not eligible for rollover. This includes any CPE earned from the CFE Exam Prep Course or the live CFE Exam Review Course.

What is the renewal process for a CFE Certification?

Complete annual CPE requirements
Visit www.ACFE.com/MyCPE to certify your CPE compliance
Pay any required recertification or application fees as set by the ACFE.

What are the WebCE ACFE Certification course requirements?

WebCE courses are online self-study courses with non-monitored open-book final exams.
Passing score: 70%
If the final exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.

How often does WebCE report ACFE Certification course completions?

WebCE does not report course completions for CFE CPE. Students must self-report their CPE credits in their ACFE account. You may self-report on the ACFE website

Does WebCE supply a certificate of completion for ACFE Certification courses?

Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the final exam is passed. Certification holders should keep a copy of each certificate of completion.

Are there any CPE exemptions?

New CFEs are exempt from CPE from the certification day to the end of the first anniversary month.
