This course examines the suitability issues and standards that apply to the recommendation and sale of variable annuities. It covers the suitability concerns associated with variable annuities, the regulatory framework and guidelines that support the suitability of variable annuity sales, the criteria by which variable annuity suitability is measured, how to form a basis for a variable annuity suitability assessment, and how to apply the principles of a needs-based selling approach to variable annuity placement.
