PAP: Duties After a Loss and General Provisions -- CLEQ

To collect for a claim under a personal auto policy (PAP), the insured has certain duties that must be followed. If the insured does not comply and that adversely affects the insurer’s ability to properly handle the claim, the insurer has no duty to cover the loss. This course reviews those duties as well as certain key general provisions.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion, students will be able to:

  • identify an insured’s duties after a loss
  • identify the nine provisions/conditions in the PAP
  • identify how each of the nine provisions/conditions impact coverage
