TREC Residential Core

Overview

Real estate professionals must adhere to high standards of ethical behavior when working with clients, customers, and the public. Knowing the rules, regulations and laws mandated by the commission will help real estate professionals maintain their license and professionalism with clients. 

This course satisfies the TREC Core course requirement for 2019-2020. It is intended to prepare Tennessee licensees with basic knowledge of Rule, Law and Policy changes enabling them to experience smoother transactions and have satisfied consumers.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 

  • demonstrate knowledge of recent changes to Tennessee statutes
  • demonstrate knowledge of changes to Tennessee statutes
  • summarize the types of agency relationships recognized in Tennessee
  • demonstrate knowledge of various paragraphs common to seller listing agreements, to include potential problem areas
  • explain generic contract language in residential purchase and sale contracts and supplemental forms; including most common disputes and possible resolutions
  • describe the rules of real estate conduct in Tennessee
