Idaho Core 2022

Overview

The Idaho Real Estate Commission creates a core class each year to ensure that licensees are up-to-date on real estate laws and regulations and changes in the industry. The Idaho Core 2022 course provides a comprehensive review of Idaho case law affecting licensees, legislative updates, and Guidelines 13, which covers real estate advertising. The course also examines issues related to water rights and associate easements, and concludes with a look at troublesome trends in the industry, including errors and omissions insurance, CE requirements, forgery, industry roles, and disclosures.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion, students will be able to:

  • explain the importance of clear and adequate written contracts in real property transfers
  • discuss how situations such as easements, water rights, and mineral rights can affect a real estate transaction
  • review 2022 law and rule changes impacting Idaho real estate practices
  • describe the purpose of errors and omissions (E&O) insurance
  • recall what education is required for renewing your license
  • explain what is considered advertising and what information is required in all advertising
  • recognize whether advertising is compliant with Idaho Code 54-2053
  • describe Idaho water rights and associated easement requirements in relation to real estate transactions
  • identify troublesome trends in real estate and describe how to avoid them in practice
