I had a little difficulty understanding and figuring out whether I needed to complete a state-specific Long-Term Care course for licensing requirements in Colorado, although my home resident state is Florida. I was hoping your website and course selections would have quickly helped me determine what I needed to fulfill. I had to search in many different places and sites before ultimately calling my licensing and credentials people at my financial services firm.
It took me quite a while to figure out that I could click on the chapter to go search for answers i needed. This really slowed my progress, it took me way to long. I spent probably 15 hours total, including the test.
The history of the ins and outs of the LTC laws over the decades are not as relevant as the current laws in place. I regret reading that section as it misled me about how the policy laws work - thankfully, I kept reading, but was irritated to have been taken through out of date information, first.

The AI Audio reader is too artificial and robotic. Try to upgrade with a more personal/Professional voice. Videos and additional examples and scenarios would also break up the voice-only approach. It is also essential to give us the chance to print our certificates.
This was my second time purchasing CEU's and will likely be the last due to how excessive the courses were. It genuninely felt like a was taking pre licensing classes .

there is an inaccuracy in the material. when talking about taking policy loans from permanent life insurance it states that the loan interest rate is greater than the guaranteed rate credited. That is not accurate in every case. Foresters Whole Life Insurance offers a guaranteed rate that is greater than the rate charged for a loan.

I wasn't sure how to answer the Website question, as i believe I found the course another way. I thought it was an excellent course, and I learned a great deal from it. It did a good job of clarifying/defining the roles of Medicare, Med Supp policies, Medicaid, and self-funding.

I don't like them 40 question tests
This was way too long for a 4 hour CE class. I had the content read to me and it took over 8 hours to complete the course. The first 5 or 6 chapters could be cut in half because it was redundant to the last 3 or 4 chapters which talked about VA exclusively which is what the primary goal of the class is. This class would have been fine if it was an 8 hour CE class which is what it should be. I can't think of anything else that needs to be talked about in a longer LTC class. Make it shorter if it's just a 4 hour class!!

The "voice" was monatone- with very little voice emphasis. Therefore it was a bit difficult to listen to.
The timing is way off. It sometimes takes hours longer to listen to the course at a normal rate.
I purchased courses through Kaplan and they were terrible. I decided to come back to WebCE and I am so glad!

One of the interactive panes responded inaccurately to what I had selected two times. Just flagging - it was obvious so it didn't affect my learning.
The audio pronunciations were occasionally abnormal, and I found many typos in every course I have taken so far.

I was so excited to be able to have the information read to me! So I could listen in the car, where I spend a lot of time. The reader went to fast so I had to pause and read it again.
The ethics webinar. Having at least 1 per week is why I did not renew with BetterCE for the first time ever. State Farm agent aspirants are being forced to have the SIE, 6, 63, and 65, and some of those line up with our expiration. Allowing us to catch up from procrastination will get you a bunch more people.
A lot of detail but aided in actually learning the material, lot just passing the exam.

I liked the short exams at the end of each chapter, it gave us time to research each chapter and become knowledgeable on each section. Made it less stressful and at the same time you learn a little more,

I was surprised by the inclusion of decreasing term test questions. That type of insurance really isn't used anymore.

My only complaint is the following. I used the "read to me" feature and it tooke more like 6 hours to go through all the material. I did a some pausing and revisiting of material so it took me closer to 8 hours to accomplish the same thing. However, taking that time off, it still took longer than 4 hours, which is how it is advertized to get through all the content plus do the quizes.
Material is very clear and allows you to read and study at your own pace.
Too much material to cover. It's exhausting, too many abbreviations and too much data

when you have the automatic reader reading the course for you, it takes double the time that is required with the State requirements. if there is a certain requirement of information of each course required by the state to complete a course, it should be communicated to the purchaser/student of the proper setting of the readback feature to comply with the hour equivalent. As well as whether a person can understand the information given at that speed needs to be a communicated. Basically the course took Almost twice as long as rock was required by the state with regards to continuing education hours.

In certain areas of the text, instead of "Insured" it should say "proposed insured". Also, the insured is not always the owner, therefore, for someone who is new to the insurance business may be confused between the owner and insured. I think it would be best to review the whole text.

There was a lot of complex content in this course, specific to terminology. This course didn't follow the same completion process as the other courses. It closed out before access to the certificate of completion and isn't showing as complete on my dashboard.

The question about different client's occupations and who was more likely to need LTC coverage was confusing - it was, in fact, the only question I got wrong - please provide ample information (or any information, for that matter) for this kind of scenario in the course if you intend to keep this question as part of the exam.

I disliked when I reduced the autoplay's volume, after pressing continue, the volume resets to maximum volume every time. I want the volume I set to persist throughout all the lessons.

7 hours is too much for one course. I'm dying here. You had a few inaccuracies in this course material. i.e. things out of date by several years.

Very though material toassist to pass
One of the exam questions about mediation referred to being able to choose not to accept the decision of the 3rd party. I chose arbitration because in the statement before the exam it stated that sometimes the decision in Mediation can be refused. I realized that in Arbitration a decision can always be refused. I find that the exam question wasn't clear enough for me to choose the Mediation answer.

If this is open book we should be able to copy and paste the questions in the course to get answer.. clicking on chapter is not enough help for open book feel it should be easier to find the answer

The course had a very strange layout. It started out with life insurance, but covered life insurance companies towards the end. It also covered social security, but then had several chapters of other stuff before jumping to other governmental programs. I think it would have been better if similar topics were grouped together instead of jumping around.

AI reader mispronounced multiple words (mini-) Also hard to follow reader as monotone speech pattern put me to sleep. Voice was NOT engaging at all. Had to stop play and read for contact. Surprised I passed exam!

This course was written much better than previous courses. Much easier to digest. It still contained significantly more information than was needed to take the exam. Would suggest trimming material still so that the time spent studying aligns better with the questions tested.

Reading for hours can be a bit draining. I thought it would be more videos. The price drew me in. If providing animations increases the price, then I understand why it was not included. The material covered everything I needed.

I like the short reads and the read to me function. Makes it a lot smoother of a listen than just jumping back and forth to find the answers. It seems to stick easier in my brain. Would like some color though, graphs, and maybe some of the questions to be less wordy. They get to be too much and gotta reread it. I also would like the function of read to me for the questions that are wordy.

I did the 4 hour course last week but found out it was the wrong one and was rejected by Florida but this one was very similar and had the same course content. Need to make it much easier and clearer so I don’t waste my time in the future. At least they did credit this on so I will give a little credit but needs to be clearer. The website is very confusing.

This specific course was tough to get through and actually stay engaged with simply because of the density of the content and the length. It was still a perfectly fine course, but I may have done better with staying engaged had it been broken into smaller pieces.

I really like this new version of getting tested after reading less information.
Again, large book to read through with much content and then the test seems to focus a small portion of the material. Would be nice if book was half the size with focused content for the exam.
The "book" has way too much information for a 50 question exam. Time requirement to study, memorize terms is too long for what is tested. It's not clear what the focus should be for the exam. It would be helpful if required testing material was narrowed down in the book i.e cut book in half to narrow scope of tested material.

I thought much of the health insurance content was irrelevant and somewhat outdated. Much of the information pertained to plans that are not actually sold/seen in the marketplace.

As having been an attorney and psychologist along with a linguist and computer knowledgeable, this is by far the most versatile training program i have ever experienced and seen. KUDOS

The course was too long in my opinion.
I think this is the first time I've used your company for my license CE and I can say will most likely be the last. I'm not trying to be mean it just seemed like the material was for executive level licensing. I'm a lowly agent just trying to keep my license and the material and questions seemed to be for those that are leaders and those making decisions within the insurance industry as a whole. So many questions started with "You're the state insurance..." or "An audit by the state insurance department..." I have no clue about the insurance workings at those levels and yet I'm being asked questions like I am. Past CE seemed to be designed from the agent's perspective and made sense. Also some questions had nothing to do with the material that was just covered. Some sections were just a page long of material and I searched and searched but couldn't find the answer no matter how many times I read it. I hope this constructive criticism might lead to reassessing the material and making it more appropriate for the vast majority or your customers: agents

I needed and liked the updated information of Insurance Law History!
Couple of the units could be split into two so it wasn't so long. Because after the unit was completed, it was hard to remember some of the information for the end of ilunit quiz.
Almost all death benefits are variable and grow with cash. The applicant is not making an offer, she is simply applying. No competitive companies offer decreasing term, they all write level term. If you have minors as beneficiaries, make sure you have a living trust. If someone has an unstable income, you should not write them any life insurance as it will likely lapse; what is the agent going to do? call the insured every month to see if they sold a painting and remind them to pay? In many ways, annuities are more flexible for seniors than other investments. All, 100% of annuities have free withdrawals. Mutual funds get you with a front end load, you pay taxes an gains every year, and you pay taxes if you withdrawal. That's why affluent and wealthy investors buy annuities over mutual funds. Just a few thoughts.

Content was great. However, the actual writer of the information may want to take a Grammar class. He/she mis-used An for A - frequently. We use 'An' when the next word begins with a vowel, we use 'A' when the next word begins with a consonant. Basic English folks.
The service center was very helpful in getting me sign up for exam.
It is unfortunately not the design—but the internal wording of the course which creates some confusion. Insured and insurer are very close. It is a good course, but sometimes it gets snarled in the “shop talk.” Not much way around it, though.
The jargon related to insurance is so alike. Some of the explanations needed to be made clearer—such as the underlying principles versus the definition of sound-alike terms. Overall, it was understandable, yet went over the subject with insurance terms more than general terms.

Towards the end, there seemed to be many exams for the sake of exams rather than testing knowledge of the content covered. Some had the same answer for most of the 5 questions.

The short videos to check ones understanding of what was read was good. The examples to explain more fully the information was very helpful. I liked the summaries and the short quizzes to check ones understanding of the chapter. However, sometimes the reading was difficult to understand, and more time needed to be spent re-reading certain sections.

It seems you are using Artificial Intelligence narration. There were some obvious reading mistakes that were unnecessary (the word "who" pronounced "W-H-O," for instance -- and "minitrials" pronounced "miney-trials."
I really liked that each session was short and was able to stop and go when I needed too.

Having the material read to me was too slow and unnecessary. I had to keep turning it off.
I did not like the fact that this course only included one or two exam questions for each chapter. I also did not appreciate that several questions on the final exam were from the exact same content. It was heavily loaded on chapter one.
I really liked the autoplay! Excellent format.
If an agent does not anticipate ever selling Long Term Care Insurance it should be a short short course if it is bundled to achieve the 24 hours needed. This course was too in depth and was like trying to learn the Internal Revenue Code! It was exhausting.

I thought the first seven chapter of this lesson were well broken down. However, the chapter that pertained to Washington State was by far the least enjoyable and drab.
Best web based CE I have used in my career as a CPA and CFP. Recommended by my Son In Law, will be returning for other courses.

Company selected this option for me to complete my CE units. I don't know if I would have found this online, if they hadn't. That being said, if there's more CE units that I had to complete on my own, I may come back to you. I didn't see a list of other areas of study so, I couldn't say that I'd check on anything other than insurance. Your site and study were ideal in not taking too much time but it was helpful in understanding the material.
Great balance. Read it to me audio was the key at age 66. The test question were challenging. No trick questions. One incomplete question i think. You asked about a hospital admission for an emergency surgery but did not list the number of days. I think you could have an emergency and not be in the hospital for three days. I'm beyond traditional memorization as a mode of learning. For decades I have not relied on my memory. IfI don't know the answer to a question - I don't guess. Your audio was very logical and easy to follow. It is important to know how the skilled nursing benefit works under Medicare. 100 days after a three day hospital stay. First 20 days covered at 100%. IF YOU DO YOU THERAPY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Logging in and out constantly and having to go back through the routine every time to access material. Took an extra hour going in and out from Jones to Web CE. Couldn't it be much more simple than this?
Respectfully I have one area of concern. Under the title - No Comprehensive LTC Component - the statement "With regard to nursing home care, Medicare covers only those services that help a patient recover from an acute illness or injury. Payment for skilled nursing care by Medicare requires that the patient must have first been admitted and hospitalized for the same condition." I do not think this is correct because of the JIMMO Settlement of 2013. From the CMS.GOV website - In essence, the Jimmo Settlement Agreement clarifies Medicare’s longstanding policy that coverage of skilled nursing and skilled therapy services in the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Home Health (HH), and Outpatient Therapy (OPT) settings does not turn on the presence or absence of a beneficiary’s potential for improvement, but rather on the beneficiary’s need for skilled care. The course content was to the point. No excess verbiage. I also appreciated the questioms at the end of each section. That really helped me to see if I digested the material.

After being a nursinghome administrator, I began selling LTCi in 1991 in CA. Left CA in 2005, and have entered the business again. I appreciated the history and evolution that brings the LTCi market into the 2020's
I rather have a real person doing the audio instead of a computer, as the computer mispronounced words and it threw me off. Other than that the class was great!

Disliked the sections dealing with life insurance and annuities. There was also a little about health insurance. This is a P&C course. Those sections are irrelevant.

Not enough information on each chapter for there to be a quiz that follows. The length of the questions in the quiz's is so much longer than the information in the chapter. Ended up spending more time reading the quiz questions than I did learning the material.
Course content is always thorough, engaging, and easy to read and understand.

The only criticism I have is that I purchased a bundle that met my 3 hours of ethics and 12 hours of classroom equiv, plus several extra courses that exceeded my 24 hour requiremen.but once they showed up in my docket, I couldn't figure out which course contained the ethics portion. It would be nice if it was a little clearer, because I am holding off on taking some courses until March so they will apply to my requirements for 2027. If this does not make sense you can contact me for clarification.

I did find some grammar and spelling errors in a few bits of the test material specifically that made some questions potentially difficult. a lot of the questions were also quite long, which is fine considering the time it took to complete.

This class is for Life and Health insurance. However at least half of the material was presented as Property Casualty learning. Bad design.

I like the classes especially the shorter ones I could complete in smaller segments. I did not enjoy the ten hour class as much because it was difficult to find time and I was not able to complete it in one session as I prefer to do. Admittedly, I am a perfectionist. So, I read everything and to all the quizzes unlike many others who say they just want to pass. I want 100% accuracy. But, still, reading everything, doing all the quizzes, and then getting through these LONG Courses, takes all day! (I cannot do my CE renewals during 4th quarter -- I already work 14-16 hours a day. January is out of the question due to fixing 4th quarter issues -- still 14 hour days. So February, my birhtmonth, is when I have to get all my CE credits done. It is stressful because I still work at least 12 hours a day. My weekends in February are consumed with getting re-licensed. These just take too much time. Any way of condensing the courses? The are good and valuable, but after having done this every two years, five times now, I am tired of them because I know my stuff. I guess everyone doesn't, but these can be taxing. Even my teaching certificate only had to be renewed once every 5 years. Sorry -- but I feel better having vented. But, UGH! I have only done 2 courses this weekend. - 7 credits. I still have 17 more credit hours to go and only two more weekends to get them done.
While completing the Course reviews and Final Exam, I see that answers I selected, then changed and moved to another answer. My recommendation is that once an answer is selected it "Lock" in place and cannot be inadvertently changed. I experienced this situation several times and had to ge back and select my answer again & watch carefully where my cursor was place to avoid any mishap.
This is my 3rd and LAST year with WebCE.
For myself, this took about an extra hour beyond the required time. Between the modules and the practice tests and 25 point test, it was 5 hours and I stayed the whole time with it. Online courses just take so much longer than stated time for myself. Always preferred in person learning.

I suggest having several different voices in the read-it-to-me. Having just one voice to hear makes one stop listening.

The narrator for this course was terrible. He had no idea what he was discussing, he had mispronounced word like "minitrial" and his timing around commas and punctuation was horrible.
The questions were too specific for Continuing Education. There's a lot to read and comprehend and more GENERAL questions would've sufficed More specific questions are more necessary for when someone who is preparing to first get their license.

Excellent course
This is a good course. However, the required reading, if using the "read to me audio" is significantly more than four hours. This is misleading and longer than the four hour CE credit this course qualifies participants who pass the exam to receive. Some of the content is repetitive and the course could be edited to more accurately reflect a four-hour time commitment.

I find your ignorance and neglect regarding proper and correct grammar usage rather appalling, given that it is more of the same trite and trendy dumbed-down conformity that one sees everywhere in all aspects of business, academia, and every other segment of our culture. Specifically, your lack of use of hyphens where required is most bothersome. Some examples: "rerigister" instead of "re-register;" "copayment" instead of "co-payment;" "preexisting" instead of "pre-existing;" and "antidiscrimination" instead of "anti-discrimination." VERY ANNOYING and BOTHERSOME, at least to those of us who care and understand and know better....................!!!!!!!!!!

What I liked, see question relating to relevancy. What I disliked, not being able to review questions again after taking exam.
I find certain test items, not discussed in the learning material. It was also difficult when selecting courses to be sure they qualified for my CE requirements. Made me uneasy when choosing which courses to take.
The following fact contradicts the attribute of the policies I sell: "The interest rate that the insured pays the insurer for the loan is always greater than the rate credited to the contract by the insurer."

Very thorough, great information and lots of material. However, way too detailed on the partnership, medicaid and medicare. Also, I assumed that if I followed the voice for each section, that would comprise the 4 hours but that was not the case. I learned after about 4.5 hors that I should go at my own pace and it took what I thought it would be 4 hours up to about 6 hours. Very frustrating at that should be spelled out in the instructions and directions.

I dislike the ability to view both the test and the course instruction on screens at the same time. Many times when I'm unsure of an answer I like to refer to the course again to review that portion. This requires you to close one, open another and vice versa. Would likely take courses elsewhere based on this one element.

I actually learned some new things when it comes to rules an insurance company must obey.
Course content was almost ambiguous with the insertion of life and health references.
I found no questions on the final exam about health insurance, which is all I sell.

Personally, I don’t like the nuts and bolts of Insurance regulations and what organizations do what or what different forms of misconduct are called. I just know I need to do my job in an ethical manner and not break any laws. Thank you so much for making the course fun though.

The answers to the longer (more complicated) questions were NOT clear, even after rereading applicable sections.
Easy to understand materials that are nicely laid out. Exam questions are fair without being too difficult as to testing the understanding of the material. I learned a lot and it was also a great refresher! Bravo!

I expected life, health, and accident topics. Not P&C and legislation.
