• Legal Update I: 4 CE hours

Brokers & Supervising Brokers

• Legal Update I: 4 CE hours
• Legal Update II: 4 CE hours
• Broker Responsibility: 6 CE hours
• Texas Contracts: 3 CE hours
• Electives: 1 CE hour

Sales Apprentice First Time Renewal

• Legal Update I: 4 hours
• Legal Update II: 4 hours
• Qualifying SAE Real Estate Courses: 240 hours
• Real Estate Brokerage Course: 30 hours

Note: WebCE does not currently offer the 240 SAE hours or the 30 hour Real Estate Brokerage Course.

Every 2 years on the last day of the month licensed.

Courses cannot be repeated more than once in a 2 year license term.

Excess credit hours may not be carried forward to the next license term.

Complete your CE at least 10 days before your expiration date, to ensure time for processing. If TREC records do not reflect completion of CE requirements at the time you submit your renewal application, you must pay a $200 CE Deferral Fee, or renew in inactive status.

Renew Online

• WebCE courses are classified as online education courses.
• Students must read the course material before completing a closed-book non-monitored exam. Students will not have access to the final exam until the student’s time in the course equals the number of approved credit hours for the course.
• No more than 12 CE hours can be completed in a 24 hour period
• Students must verify their identity by answering security questions throughout the course and exam.
• There is no minimum passing grade for final exams.

12 months from the original date of purchase, unless otherwise posted on the course description page and student dashboard.

Every business day to the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC).

Online PDF certificates of completion are available to print immediately after the course is completed.

All TREC license holders are required to complete the CE requirements that are in place at the time of their renewal. If an individual holds an active real estate license in another state, they may be able to use courses completed for another real estate license to satisfy the elective portion of CE. See Commission Rule §535.92(d). There is no substitute for the non-elective CE course (Legal Update I, Legal Update II and Broker Responsibility Course) requirements.
