The interaction of workers compensation insurance with state and federal workers compensation laws is unique, and changes in these laws have profound effects on insurance coverage. The increase in lawsuits related to employee injuries and the significant cost of coverage makes understanding the legal issues and coverages essential to properly construct coverage.
Designed For:
Property and casualty insurance agents, brokers, adjusters, and claims professionals at any level in their career
Adding additional credit may change exam requirements.
WebCe itself is a fantastic resource for completing continue ed coursework and I have been a loyal customer since 2008. However, I did not think that this particular was well written. It was unnecessarily complicated to understand what was being taught due the writing style.
Thank you.
GET RID OF THE ROBO VOICE AND HIRE A VOICE ACTOR TO READ THE COURSE MATERIAL. Also, be more consistent with chapter summaries!
Questions that were not covered could not be answered
Very thorough class. Very helpful reminder of the Federal Acts and the history of workers compensation insurance.
The content of this course excessive.
The 9hour course should be split in half
Very informative
I think the sections on Reto programs could have been explained better.
I have used WebCE in the past. And plan to continue to use it in the future.
I couldn't tell what questions I got wrong but one may be question 104. I think the right answer is D but looks like I selected C, which i new was wrong as well so shame on me but D doesn't seem write as clients will most likely need to fund for losses in year one with the state. I've never worked with state so can't be certain but if I were UW, the state shouldn't take the risk of bankruptcy from clients so reserve appropriately
Great program!
Excellent
Would be nice to have more examples of the principals being explained (ABC company has $100,000 deductible and how it plays out with a retro plan etc). Long winded words can get lost in translation if no example provided. The experience mod example was perfect... could have used more throughout the course.
This course was extremely information overload!! Barely passed. I'm glad I did though.
The course material covered workers compensation details that are valuable to all employers and employees on a State or Federal level as well as insurance agents at any stage in their career.
Clear and effective
AI reading is terrible. Beyond distracting.
Material could use a bit of editing to make it easier to follow and flow easier.
Some of the questions were poorly worded.
Nice course. Easy to follow.
it was long listening with no indication of the important parts that would be on the test
I found the intent of some of the test questions hard to understand. Some didn’t seem to line up with the real world application of the work comp law. All in all, I did I find the material challenging and refreshed my memory on come of the coverages I don’t regularly deal with.
I thought it was fine, the layout was great, easy to read and complete
too much emphasis on leased employees
The course content was well written. The practice questions at the end of the chapters were also fair and relevant. The final exam questions, however, were written in a confusing manner, focused too much on areas that the majority of workers' compensation professionals never encounter, and generally did not reflect the quality of the course content. The questions acted more like "got you" questions than those designed to truly test mastery of the material. I suggest a total review and re-write of the final exam questions.
The questions were too wordy. It got very confusing with all the different names. Much easier if you stick with the basics and shorten the question. Some were cute but not needed when trying to pass an exam.
Pleasant experience and learned more than I expected.
Thank you! Appreciate the US Mailed post card!
I loved the format of the course, it was much more appealing than other companies
I like the experience. Had some tricky questions but if you paid attention to the details you caught them. I actually passed with a 90% on the first try so its not bad.
This course was extremely difficult- refers to itself as an advanced course- I don't see the need for such an advanced course for the purpose of CE however this is my first experience with the CE process.
The flippant manner in which some devastating accidents are presented is a bit offensive if you take a moment to realize that we are describing people and not cartoon characters.
Great Job! Easy to Follow and really Learn!! Thanks Again!
This is an excellent source of information
Robotic narration was mind numbing and very monotone making it difficult to stay engaged.
Really enjoyed this class. I learned new things and nice review of items I hadn't thought about: experience modifier calculations for example.
I wanted to learn more about handling wc claims and this was all about underwriting and premiums for the claims. Not at all what i was hoping for.
Love WebCe!
thanks for making this convenient for working folks
I took this course for additional education in the Workers Compensation arena, and found the information very useful. Tough course though, for someone who doesn't work in this field, but very enjoyable.
Narrating could be improved with a different speaker.
I like the depth of learning on the subject. In my position Workers Compensation is the least understood.
Explanations of concepts were well discussed and elaborated. Liked the examples.
I found the test for this learning exceptionally hard in comparison to prior courses
Ive completed both shorter courses (1 hour) and this long course (11 hours). I think shorter courses are more beneficial as it gives you a minimal amount of information to process prior to taking the exam. Doing a longer course which can't be completed in one sitting gives too much information that may be completed over weeks.....reducing the amount of information retained.
This one had a lot of content and took a long time to complete but we also received 8 hours a credit for it.
Almost too much information for the online, 10 hour format.
There are a few typos that need to be corrected.
This course should have been more interactive considering the length of material.
I'm a FL WC adjuster. There were so many questions about stuff that is normally not part of our job. The Longshore stuff shouldn't be included. The out of state stuff like monolopistic states should be excluded. The policy and all that weird stuff should be separate classes.
Very hard for a continued education coarse!
Thank you so much for all the educational options you offer and for making it very convenient to complete required CEC.
Thank you for putting together this thorough course!
This was a terrible learning experience. The test did not match up with the study material
Everything was exceptional!! Thank you for making this such a stress free experience.
Since I am a workers compensation claims adjuster I found that this course was too heavy on the underwriting aspect. This should be explained before embarking on this course.
Great course in familiar format. Thank you.
The read-to -me-audio was very monotone and boring! Several of the dates (year) were stated unusual.....1972 was One Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy One. I was happy to see at the end of the test that there was a statement saying all questions were answered. I was just getting ready to go back and verify.
A lot of reading with little to none interaction.
Thank you
thank you
Very user friendly.
Easy to use. Good course materials.
Very informative and easy to navigate through. The questions were clearly formulated based on the content given
