24 CE hours total, including:
  • Ethics: 3 CE hours

  • Ethics: 3 CE hours

Are there any course approval restrictions for Nebraska Insurance CE?

Licensees must take approved courses in the line of authority in which they are licensed in.

When does Nebraska Insurance CE have to be completed?

The last day of the licensee's birth month, every 2 years, based on odd/even birth year.

Can Insurance CE courses be repeated?

Courses cannot be repeated more than once in a 2 year license term.

What are the Annuity Training requirements for Nebraska?

Frequency: One-time training of a 4-Hour Annuity Suitability and Best Interest Standards course must be complete prior to selling annuity products.

Residents and non-residents who have completed training including the NAIC Best Interest Standards in another state with laws similar to Nebraska law will be deemed compliant with this requirement.

Excess CE hours are not allowed to be carried forward to the next 2-year license term.

What is the Nebraska Insurance license renewal process?

  1. Electronic renewals will be available 90 days prior to the expiration date. Renewal notices are emailed to you approximately 60 days prior to your expiration date.
  2. To complete license renewal, Continuing Education requirements must be met prior to submission of a renewal application. CE providers are allowed up to ten days to upload completed CE so please allow ample time for your license renewal.
  3. Complete renewal application and submit fees.

What are the WebCE Nebraska Insurance CE course requirements?

  • WebCE courses are classified as online self-study courses.
  • Students must read the course material and answer each set of end-of-chapter quizzes with a score of at least 70 percent before attempting a final exam.
  • Self-study exams are closed-book and do not require a monitor.
  • Final exam passing score: 70%
  • Once the exam is graded and passed, the student is required to complete the online Nebraska Affidavit of Course Completion form.
  • If the final exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.

Non-resident licensees who meet CE requirements in their home state are not required to meet Nebraska CE requirements.

Are there any CE exemptions?

Licensees are exempt from CE requirements if one of following is true:
  • Individuals who hold a limited-lines license for credit life/credit accident and health, auto mechanical breakdown, prepaid legal, motor club, prepaid dental, health maintenance organization, or unemployment credit insurance.
  • Individuals initially licensed at least one year, but less than two, prior to the first renewal date must complete 15 hrs
