Over 300 hours of WebCE’s self-study insurance continuing education (CE) courses have already been approved for NJ Agents

April 09, 2003 – Dallas, Texas – WebCE, the nationwide insurance continuing education provider, announced today the immediate availability of over 30 of its self study CE courses for New Jersey agents. The New Jersey Department of Insurance’s recent decision to allow its agents to use correspondence courses to fulfill their CE requirements makes WebCE one of the first providers to serve the important NJ market.

WebCE now offers L&H agents in NJ 24 courses totaling 211 hours of self-study hours and P&C agents can access 18 courses credited for 165 hours. The courses and exams can be completed either online (via the Internet) or shipped in paper-form. WebCE’s online exams give agents the convenience of instant grading and notification. Individual courses cost $29.95, or all 48 CE hours required in NJ can be purchased for as little as $69.95.

“New Jersey’s Department of Insurance made a wonderful decision to expand the CE completion options available to their agents. Most successful insurance professionals share the challenge of finding enough time to meet and service their clients. WebCE’s self-study courses means NJ agents can now complete their required 48 hours of CE anytime and anywhere, without the hassle and expense of spending 6 days in a classroom environment,” said Gary Henkel, Chief Executive Officer of WebCE. “Our 175 corporate customers and partners also benefit because New Jersey’s recent decision simplifies the effort required by compliance managers to coordinate a national CE program."

As an added benefit to those insurance agents who are also Certified Financial Planners, many of WebCE’s courses approved by New Jersey DOI qualify for CFP CE.
