WebCE® Releases a New Anti-Money Laundering Course Designed For Insurance Producers
WebCE is pleased to announce the immediate availability of a new Anti-Money Laundering (“AML”) training course created specifically for insurance professionals. The new AML course is already approved for state insurance continuing education in most states and has also been awarded 7 hours of CFP CE credit.
WebCE launched our new AML course in response to the recent changes to Department of Treasury rule 31 CFR Part 103. The new rule mandates that certain U.S. insurance companies are required to both establish anti-money laundering training programs and file Suspicious Activity Reports.
The rules apply to insurance companies that issue or underwrite certain products that present a high degree of risk for money laundering or the financing of terrorism or other illicit activity. The insurance products subject to these rules include:
1. Permanent life insurance policies, other than group life insurance policies;
2. Annuity contracts, other than group annuity contracts;
3. Any other insurance products with features of cash value or investment features.
WebCE’s online course costs $6.95 and includes Internet access to the course, online exam, certificate(s) of completion and reporting to states department of insurance, if required. Additional costs for state-imposed roster fees or paper-based courses may apply.
By integrating WebCE’s course into your AML program, your compliance department can automatically receive customized compliance reports and additional information.
