New Regulatory Changes Will Save Wisconsin Insurance Professionals Time and Money

WebCE, a nationwide provider of web-based continuing education services to the financial services industry, today announced the immediate availability of its state-approved courses to Wisconsin’s 25,000 licensed insurance professionals.

Until recently, Wisconsin’s insurance professionals were required to complete their mandated continuing education by attending classroom-based courses. Effective November 1, 2006, the Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance (OCI) expanded the options available to Wisconsin license holders to also include correspondence courses.

"Our technology allows professionals at all levels to fulfill their continuing education requirements immediately," said WebCE CEO Gary Henkel. "We understand that time is money for professionals, and that’s why we are dedicated to providing Wisconsin’s agents with easy-to-use, inexpensive, and high-quality training solutions. In addition, our self-paced instruction saves busy executives the time and added expenses associated with seminars and travel."

Now, using WebCE’s state-of-the-art course delivery technology, Wisconsin’s professionals can instantly select and order state-approved correspondence courses over the Internet at www.webce.com and start fulfilling continuing education requirements immediately. Courses can be completed in a single session or over a series of sessions from any web browser available to the student. Once completed, the course material remains available to the student for review at a later date. In addition, students can monitor the status of orders, check on exams, access secure training records, and print Certificates of Completion, all via the Internet.

Pricing and Availability
WebCE’s bundled price is $39.95 for all 24 hours of web-based, state-approved, continuing education that must be completed every two years. The price includes 12 month’s access to the course materials and exams. In addition, WebCE will report students’ successful completion of a course to WI OCI and will provide students with secure web-based access to their course completion records for five years. Individual courses start at $5.95. Twenty-six courses have already been approved by the OCI and are available for immediate use. An additional fifty L&H, P&C, and adjuster courses are in various stages of approval.
