WebCE, the nationwide provider of continuing education services for financial services professionals, announced it has acquired APlusOnlineCE.com (“APlusOnline”), a Newport News-based continuing education provider. The acquisition will strengthen WebCE’s curriculum for Certified Financial Planners® and gives APlusOnline customers access to WebCE’s 150 insurance CE courses.

“I am pleased to announce today that APlusOnline has become a service of WebCE. Our combined client base now exceeds ¼ million financial services professionals who are licensed in all 50 states. The depth of our resources is stronger than ever,” said Gary Henkel, CEO of WebCE. “We take great pride in our reputation of offering quality continuing education and unbeatable value. That will not change.”

APlusOnline will retain its web presence and operate as a service of WebCE. Headquarters will be in Dallas, Texas. “We’re great admirers of how WebCE technologies have simplified the entire continuing education process and are delighted that our customers will benefit from this event”, said John Maser, CFP and APlusOnline’s co-founder.

WebCE acquired APlusOnline’s assets for an undisclosed sum on January 1st, 2007. The conversion of content, technology and customer support has already been completed and the service is available immediately.
