WebCE® Releases Minnesota-Specific Long Term Care Partnership
Training Course
WebCE, the nationwide provider of continuing education for insurance
professionals, announced the immediate release of a new course titled, Medical
Assistance Eligibility and the Minnesota Long-Term Care Partnership Program.
This new course enables Minnesota producers to obtain their newly-mandated
eight hours of study on the subject of long-term care and long-term care
partnership programs. This training must be completed by January 31, 2008,
while the producer continues to sell LTC insurance. After this date, a producer
cannot sell or place a LTC policy without having completed this training.
WebCE’s new Long Term Care Partnership course for MN agents has already
received approval from the Licensing Division of Minnesota’s Department of
Commerce for eight credit hours of CE credit. It is available for $19.95.
Quantity discounts are available.
Since the passage of the Deficit Reduction Act, Minnesota became one of the
first states to implement a new long-term care partnership program. As part of
the new program, Minnesota requires that all producers who sell, solicit, or
negotiate long-term care insurance in MN must have eight hours of training on
this subject.
WebCE’s new course addresses long-term care, long-term care insurance,
qualified partnership programs, qualified partnership policies, and the
relationship between partnership policies and other public and private coverage
of long-term care.
