distinguished speakers for keynote sessions at the
IRMI Energy Risk
& Insurance Conference to be held March 1–3, 2016, in Houston,
Texas.
On Tuesday, March 1, Stephen Catlin, executive
deputy chairman for XL Catlin, will kick off the Conference with a look at the
impact of the energy market on the insurance industry. He will discuss the
trends and challenges in the insurance industry, emerging risks, and how
insurers can best serve the needs of their energy clients during these
turbulent times.
On Wednesday, March 2, the morning general session
will offer perspectives on the energy insurance industry by prominent energy
insurance broker Richard M. Blades, chairman for Wortham Insurance. He will
discuss industry challenges and trends and how insurance advisers can help risk
managers and insurance buyers protect their companies from unexpected and
potentially devastating losses.
On Wednesday, March 2, the Networking Lunch will
feature Keynote Speaker Jesse Thompson, business economist for the Federal
Reserve Bank of Dallas-Houston Branch. He will discuss the state of the energy
industry and the current impacts that have changed the petrochemical
industry.
On Thursday, March 3, the closing general session
will be presented by Mark Lanterman, chief technology officer for Computer
Forensic Services. This session will address the hot topic of cyberattacks.
Attendees will discover how easy it is to hack into a wind turbine and the
far-reaching impact it can have.
