Can Funeral CE courses be repeated?

Courses cannot be repeated more than once in a 1 year license term.

Are there any Funeral CE credit type limits?

Earning CFSP Certification

  • Category A: Academic (higher education-level instruction, home study and online learning programs accredited by the Academy): Maximum 108 hours (10.8 CEU)
  • Category B: Professional Activities (attendance at conventions, short workshops or seminars, and service in funeral service organizations): Maximum 72 hours (7.2 CEU)
  • Category C: Career Review (credits for experience prior to joining the Academy): Maximum 54 hours (5.4 CEU)
  • Category D: Public Education and Service (short talks to community groups, funeral home tours, and similar activities count in this category): Maximum 18 hours (1.8 CEU)

Renewing CFSP Certification

20 hours may be earned in any of the above categories

Can Funeral CE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?

Once certified, you may carry over up to a maximum of 20 hours (2.0 CEUs) of CE annually.

What is the A.P.F.S.P. Funeral license renewal process?

You will be sent a renewal statement and transcript on your anniversary date with the Academy. Certificate holders will need to supply the activity reporting form with all information on your CE completed.

What are the WebCE A.P.F.S.P. Funeral CE course requirements?

  • WebCE courses are online approved self-study courses with non-monitored open-book final exams. Students should read through the course material then complete the exam.
  • Passing score: 70%
  • If the final exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.

What is the access period for WebCE A.P.F.S.P. Funeral CE courses?

12 months from the original date of purchase

How often does WebCE report A.P.F.S.P. Funeral CE course completions?

WebCE does not report course completions to the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice
