Guam Insurance Renewal

License Term

The license term is every year starting starting on July 1st and ending on June 30th following year.

License Renewal Process

Producers licenses may be renewed as early as 60 days prior to expiration date.

Repetition and Carryover

Carryover Rules

Excess CE hours can be applied to the succeeding years, but can only be applied for four years. Excess P&C, L/H or Ethics will count respectively as P&C, L/H or Ethics.

Repetition Rules

Courses can be repeated after 10 years of taking it.

Category Restrictions

Students must take courses according to below:
Producers: 14-hours per year: 6-hours license specific (P&C or L/H), 6-hours general, 2-hrs of ethics.
Brokers: 14-hours per year: 6-hours P&C, 6-hours L/H, 2-hrs of ethics.
Adjusters: 14-hours every two years: 12-hours discipline/general, 2-hrs of ethics

Guam Insurance Continuing Education Exam Requirements

Exam Rules

The final exam is open-book. Students may refer to the course material as often as needed. If the final exam is not passed on the first attempt, students have an unlimited number of retakes.

Monitor Requirements

Exam Proctor Requirements: Self-study exams are open-book and do not require a monitor.

Passing Score

Self-Study Final Exam: 70%

Reporting and Guam Insurance Continuing Education Certificates of Completion

Certificates of Completion

WebCE provides online, printable certificates of completion in Guam. Certificates of completion will be available to print online immediately after a final exam is passed. The licensee must keep a copy of each certificate of completion in his or her file for at least 3 years.

Non-Resident Guam Insurance Continuing Education Requirements

Non-residents producers who meet their home state CE requirements are exempt from Guam CE requirements.

The following are exempt from Guam CE requirements:
  • Insurance producer who is and over 65 years of age and has 25 years insurance experience.
