Nevada does not require licensing candidates to complete prelicensing education; however, it is recommended to complete an exam prep course before attempting to take your state’s licensing exam.

1. Meet the general eligibility criteria
   • Be at least 18 years of age
   • Be a resident of, and actually residing in, the state of Nevada
2. Prepare for state licensing exam
   • Use the WebCE Exam Prep courses to better prepare you to pass the state licensing exam.
3. Register and pass state licensing exam
   • Make an exam reservation at pearsonvue.com/nv/insurance or by calling (800) 274-2609.
   Before making an exam reservation applicants should thoroughly review the State of Nevada Licensing Candidate Handbook by clicking on the Student Handbook button above.


4. Submit fingerprints
   • Nevada requires all resident insurance licensing candidates be fingerprinted.
   • Schedule a fingerprinting appointment with one of the approved fingerprint vendors www.doi.nv.gov
5. Apply for a License
   • After passing your licensing exam, complete the insurance license application online with Sircon.

• WebCE insurance exam prep courses are online learning activities and are not administered at a facility. For support, customers may submit questions to WebCE at [email protected] or (877) 488-9308.
• WebCE insurance exam prep courses follow the state exam content outlines. Students should read each lesson before proceeding to the next lesson.
• WebCE suggests students pass the closed-book non-monitored Exam Prep Practice exam with a score of 70% or higher and then utilize Exam Tutor and Flash Tutor for further practice before your exam day.

WebCE does not report exam prep course completions as the Nevada Department of Insurance does not require course completions to be reported.

If you are an adjuster and Nevada is not your home state, you are currently licensed and in good standing in your home state, and your home state issues nonresident licenses to Nevada residents on a reciprocal basis, you may apply for a Nevada nonresident license through www.sircon.com/Nevada or www.nipr.com. You are not required to pass an examination or complete prelicensing education, if you are applying for a similar license type and line of authority held in your home state. Nonresident adjusters who hold an Adjuster Designated Home State (DHS) license in good standing in the designated nonresident state may apply for a nonresident adjuster license for the same or similar authority held in the designated home state and will not be required to pass an examination or complete prelicensing education. Adjusters with a DHS license must apply through Sircon at https://www.sircon.com/landingPages/states/nevada/content.jsp.

To designate Nevada as a home state, an applicant must apply for an Adjuster DHS license type through Sircon at https://www.sircon.com/landingPages/states/nevada/content.jsp. To qualify for an Adjuster DHS license, the applicant must first meet all resident requirements before applying. The applicant must pass an examination; complete fingerprints for a criminal history background report; and meet all other eligibility criteria. The exam can be administered at any Pearson VUE test site.
