Required New York Funeral Continuing Education Hours

Funeral Director

12-CE hours including 2 hours in Law every 2-year license term. 50% of the total required CE hours must be completed in a classroom including the 2 hours of Law.

New York Funeral Continuing Education Course Category Restrictions

Licensees can take all courses approved by the New York Department of Health. Of the 12-hour CE requirement, 2 hours must be in the subject of Law in a classroom setting. Only 6 hours of CE may be satisfied through online or self-study courses.
