Required North Carolina CPA CPE Hours

Required CPE Hours for North Carolina CPAs

2000 minutes (40 hours) of CPA CPE are required annually.

Effective 1/1/2020: The NC Board amended the CPE rules to report credit in minutes instead of hours, due to the nano-learning and blended learning methods which award CPE in 10 to 20-minute increments. Since WebCE will continue to report CPE in hours, the student will need to calculate the total number of minutes. For example, 1 CPE hour = 50 minutes, therefore, 40 hours on a CPE completion certificate would be equal to 2000 minutes.
