5-CE hours including 1 hour in law and regulations and 1 hour in funeral preneed arrangements are required each year.

Licensees can take all courses approved by the Virginia Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers. Of the 5-hour CE requirement each year, 1 hour must be in law and regulations and 1 hour must be in funeral preneed arrangements.
