Are there any subject area requirements for Wisconsin Funeral CE?

Must have at least 3 hours in each of the following subjects:
  • Category 1 - Grief Counseling or Communication
  • Category 2 - Professional Conduct, business ethics or legal aspects
  • Category 3 - Business Management concepts
  • Category 4 - Technical or practical aspects

Note: The Wisconsin Funeral Directors Examining Board does not approve courses for a specific category. Although WebCE recommends categories for each course, it is the licensee’s responsibility to complete the appropriate courses to satisfy each category of CE requirements.

Courses cannot be repeated more than once in a 2 year license term.

Are there any Funeral CE credit type limits?

Only 10 hours can be satisfied through online self-study courses.

Can Funeral CE course hours carry over to the next renewal cycle?

Excess CE credit hours earned in one license term may not be carried forward to the next license term.

What is the Wisconsin Funeral license renewal process?

Prior to the expiration of a license, the Board will mail a postcard to licensees with further instructions on how to renew license.
