Very well organized and made easy to understand and prepare for exam.
Excellent course content
MUCH better than another company's materials. Kudos
Good value and topics updated for current tax law OBBB
I like the audio.
I enjoyed the ease and clarity in the presentation of this course.
Thanks was good to have options
This one was a little confusing but I think I have clarity
Have used WebCE courses for my continuing education and AFSP qualification for many years, have found the knowledge and refresher courses very helpful!
Need to know more about Malta and CRAT - did a lot of research and guessing
Good Course
I especially liked the examples given in the chapters
Course is clear, relevant and concise.
This was a fun course. I would provide more examples of people getting caught and the courts penalties, as they are memorable and interesting.
Quality and clarity of updated course materials, videos and course presen tations
Some of the questions didn't match the correct answer.
very easy to digest the topic.
EXCELLENT INFORMATION.
The audio version was not good. I could not listen to someone saying "eck" for EIC. So I quickly learned to turn that off, and reading the text was so much easier!
it was just perfect, all the notes are excellent
Very helpful update for so many new tax rule changes
Satisfied time and time again.
I have been using Web CE for 10 years. I think the program is very good. It has a variety of topics that are needed. I will continue using them for as long as I need to do continuing education
Most courses take more time to complete than stated
little pricy for individuals to keep their license active
I tried a different company this year and left that company to come back to WebCE. I will not be going to another company. Should have stayed with WebCE. An expensive lesson to learn for sure. Thank you for your continued support and great programs.
Informational, very good
The course was very exciting and helpful.
I love the courses
Whew! I just knew I had missed something - I was hesitant about a few questions. I did great!
question 13 was not too clear to me, Frankly was confuse to me, Make question To test knowledge . do strait question i am not a lawyer
This study guide has been carefully prepared to support candidates in mastering IRS exam requirements. It provides clear explanations of tax law, rules, and regulations, along with structured practice questions to reinforce learning. Users are encouraged to review each section thoroughly, apply the concepts to real-world scenarios, and use the guide as a reliable reference throughout their exam preparation.
Great course!
In light of the fact that we are paying for these courses it would be good if a human could perform the audio portion of the course. The computer voice is monotonous and irritating.
Thank you.
Great course. Thanks!
The audio is very helpful.
Over emphasis on where to report amounts (i.e., form and line numbers). All preparers use tax software to do that. I remember because I used to file by hand! But this not the most important learning objective. Also, several errors in material.
Nicely done! Course was very well organized and focused clearly on key principles!
Question No. 38 on this 45 question exam is not answerable based on the review material presented.
Excellent course on safeguarding information on various types of devices and recognizing unwanted attacks/attempts at accessing information by intruders.
Thanks! Great job!
I received an "access denied" message trying to print the course materials in a PDF File and had to use the secondary option of printing them to a browser window. Also, I believe the answer to Question 1 (Hyde Park Corporation) may be wrong. Because it was a corporation and the straight-line depreciation method was used, it was forced to account for 20% of the $30,000 depreciation ($6000) as ordinary income. . So of the $135K gain, it should have been a $6000 of ordinary income and $129,000 of sec. 1231 gain. ...I think.
Accurate and promptly delivered the result to IRS
Material did not seem to flow in order. It jumped from one thought to another thought and was hard to follow. However, overall good education.
It isn't until digging into the course you soon find out how much you don't know. The simple's topic becomes a challenging one. With recent changes in this category of employment, as a tax preparer one frequently is asked how to keep records and logs as an Independent Contractor. This was an excellent course.
This year the course was a little harder to go through but was able to again learn more than from where I started. For this reason, I like this course.
Great suppott staff
Some of the practice questions and exam questions did not provide enough detail to confirm an answer. Often had to make assumptions to select an answer. Also, the chapter descriptions were not helpful for going back and trying to review a specific topic. It was easier to search the IRS website and tax return forms to clarify my understanding of a topic to be able to answer practice questions rather than review the course materials that were sometimes oddly organized and difficult to reference.
GOOD SO FAR
lots of the questions were not current answers needed to be reinvestigated
Thanks for another great course. The materials were straight forward and easy to understand.
Great investment of my time.
Overall, I was satisfied with the course. My only compliant is that I found it sexism that the narrative assumed that the ride-sharing drivers are "he." I understand using gender specific pronouns in the examples based on the names of the individuals in the examples. However, in the body where there is no specific person or example, it would be best to use gender neutral pronouns, like they OR s/he.
Thank you
I was led your program from the IRS website and was very impressed with the ease to search for this class, place the order and complete the course. I absolutely love it and I am extremely satisfied.
A little more explanation on some of the examples
Very informative.
It seemed like a few questions were tricked questions Overall it was good courses
The AI voice is annoying and hard to listen too.
The exam questions and the text did not go together
Would like more on out-of-pocket expenses for charities, less on donated property. Otherwise, it was fine.
helpfull
Well written course!
Simply excellent keep up the good work!
This course was extremely long and at times ambiguous. it seemed hard to follow at times.
keep doing what you're doing. this course was very good.
One of your sample answers is incorrect. You ignopred a negative for a positive.
understandable language and great examples
Course material helped me understand the subject.
Enjoyed taking the course. It was very informative.
I will continue to patronize
This course helped me understand the subject material.
Thank You!
Your products are great! I like that there is an exam for each course.
Had to refresh the page a number of times.
Thank You Very thorough and complete information. Ease in reading and comprehending info. Ease in going back to refresh info and resolve if practice questions were not clear,
Good reminders and support for long term preparers
The course was not focused on audit but veered off on subjects not related. I found that not helpful.
Make a clear and direct approach on explaining the rules and examples.
Course was easy and understandable. My down fall was not reading the one question properly. Therefor leaving me a 90% instead of 100...my reading question error
There were a few issued when i would click continue and then receive a error message. I then would refresh. I had to do this a lot. When this occurred, I opened up another site to see if it was my connection and it was not.
One of the practice answers regarding "home sharing" had an incorrect answer (regarding questions to ask if a personal residence was rented - # of days) The description for the "correct" answer was correct but marked as incorrect.
I have been taking this course for years and like the audio and practice tests
One question was about unscrupulous CPAs. In the chapter test promising "free" was the right answer. In the the final test promising "free" prep was the wrong answer. Might be a problem here.
For this module, "Gigs & Taxes - CETC" I take exception to question 3 which begins..."Uber launches robotaxi services..." My interpretation of that question is ad advertisement/promotion for Uber and the answers are fully subjective. All four answers could be correct. After studying the possible choices it became clear that the person who wrote the query was making more of a political statement (benefits of EV's, etc.) than anything that has to do with the subject at hand... taxes and tax code implementation. All four answers could be accurate (and quite frankly, are). Uber of course wants to reduce their labor cost (answer A). Of course Uber prefers arbitration rather than litigation (answer B). The whole Uber business model is dependent on expanding into traditional taxi markets (answer C). Which leads to my bottom line: Did someone at Uber contribute to the source material and write that question? Seems highly likely.
The course does not discuss tax treatment of shared housing. How do you report someone renting only one room in a big house? and how it is reported if it was rented for short times only? depreciation? expanses? etc. Also, you don't mentioned the supplement statement that Uber gives the drivers with all the fees. It's an expanse that the drivers can take but the tax expert has to ask the client for this statement so they can deduct the expanses.
There's an error in the section regarding Social Media Fraudulent Filing and Bad Advice. Appears to be a large typo with text that should have been deleted. Thank you! Great course.
I have used WEBCE for years and I highly recommend it.
I would like to see more examples and scenarios of what we are learning
great for reading
On the final exam, question 5, letter D, has a typo - it is missing Schedule C. It currently says "Schedules and EC." I knew the answer, and the other three options were not correct.
Please look at the answer for Question 5 about making $11,500 for the year. I believe there is a letter missing in the correct answer. I think it should be Schedule "C" and SE.
Perhaps not wording the questions in a negative (eg. which one is NOT) would be better testing quetions
I like that I could read the content and listen. This really helped me to understand better. I learned a lot about the history of a few of the gigs. I enjoyed this course and the exam. There is nothing I did not like. I am very satisfied. Thanks you.
Excellent all around!!!
thank you for WebCE
Both Audio and book were very helpful and easy to understand.
The course was great. The only improvement I would suggest is boiling down the cluster of words used and be simple and straight-forward to make it even easier to understand.
I learned a lot, interesting articles
I feel the time could be a little more.
the audio could be a little less monotoned
As always, Thank you.
The contents is excellent, but prefer human voice
The practice question sets were very thorough, moreso than in the other 20 program I've completed here. The detailed calculation scenarios were particularly helpful for me.
Great course
I feel this course was at a far higher level than my position requires, or is allowed to use. I cannot give tax advice, nor is it in my field. I felt largely overwhelmed by the course.
Need to work on AI guys pronunciation. E-I-C is not pronounced eek.
Great course.
Excellent course
Loved having the screen shots of IRS website, forms, etc!
Learned 100% about EIC
Audio is helpful in remembering content better than just reading alone. Thank you
Should be 7 or 8 hours, not 6.
Course was very clear and understandable. Thank you!
Good introductory course to the gig economy. I like that provided some history and updates to how it all started and the legal battles it has faced.
Math errors in practice section 1 and 4
Very Good.
I really like your courses and how they are presented and the use of back and forth to review the content. However, the narrator, which I am guessing to be an AI, has a problem with pronunciation of acronyms and some words. Maybe it is just me, but I find this very distracting and find myself going back to reread the previous paragraph often to make sure I understand what was meant . You might want to listen to the 1031 exchange portion of this course to get an idea of what I am talking about.
Rey nice
This course explained "boot" well. I found that to be a very confusing topic when I was originally studying for the EA exam (12 years ago.)
Material presented in an informative, interesting way. Kudos for keeping the attention of the reader. Thank you!
Surprised to have a large amount of discussion of the class on Virtual Currency. Seems virtual currency should be discussed separately.
Starting with chapter 4, there are numerous errors. Missing 'un', missing commas, practice questions with no correct answers because amounts were incorrect. Need another set of eyes to review it SOON.
Love the ease of use, and ability to log in on many devices
Interesting topic. Easy to tie exam back to course content
I found this course complex but worth doing, especially how to calculate ordinary gain versus long term gain.
A lot of material - could be condensed.
I found that the stated 2 hours CPE was understated. While I did take about 2 10 min breaks the course material still took approximately 3 hours if you wish to take notes and take time answering the questions properly
This is my 14th year using webce for my continuing education and I'll use webce for the rest of my life. Thanks so much!
The course was great, BUT... it is riddled with typos! One of the exam questions actually asked if the employer is required to give the employer evidence. Huh?
This was a good course. I have a pretty working knowledge of this area because I prepare Schedule C Businesses for Sole Proprietors and vehicle expenses are often a large expense item. However, I still still felt I learned some new things.
The practice questions on this topic (especially involving calculations) were much harder than the exam. I found some of the content more difficult than other courses (especially involving inherited and gifted virtual currency) and I would have appreciated more examples.
My only issue is that in the middle of the course, the reading of the text was disabled. Other than that it was a great course.
This course was much more technical and difficult than other 2 unit courses.
Would have liked the due diligence portion to include actual examples and situations in which to base the acquired knowledge. Other than that the course is great.
Clear, concise and informative.
thanks for making our CPE possible in an efficient and effective ways.
Clear, concise knowledgeable and informative.
This cybersecurity course was the most useful course I have taken so far. I did not know there was that much to it. Most other courses are refreshers rather than continueing education for me. I would recommend adding more content that is CE worthy but not focused on just taxes!
Great class!
Thought course was very informative and thorough,
When choosing courses, it flagged the ones I had already taken and showed me how many CE credits I had for each area. The pricing is excellent and I like that I can order 24 hours of courses (annual suggested for an EA) for one low price even though the total individual price far exceeded the bundled price.
Clear, concise, knowledgeable and informative.
The information on some of the topics was more ambiguous and not helpful with the exam questions. Not having the correct information doesn't help when in practice.
Live it up while you can.
One of the practice questions was totally unclear - it was the question regarding Celia, married to a nonresident alien. The answers referred to the taxpayer and to she and also came of with an answer of she must file mfj, even though that is not what the rerferred to material indicated. Also, the audio is pretty ragged. Totally unreviewed, since EIC was referred to as EeYic. There were also a few unedited written words omitted and phrases that didn't make sense. I have used your courses for several years and find they are pretty good and better than many others I have reviewed. As an old-timer who was a tax auditor and a professional editor, I am very picky. Just thought you should know. Thanks for doing this job - it has to be very frustrating, with the law, the IRS interpretation and the challenge each of us has as preparers and quality reviewers.
This is too long. It needs to be reduced down. 30 questions for the test are extreme and all your courses should be reduced down to 10-15 questions max.
This course increased my knowledge and understanding of the subject material.
Awesome to work with!!
Some of the data is dated.
This was a very good course. It educated me on the topics very well and I learned alot.
I Improve the Course Helper by linking directly to the paragraph where the answer is located, rather than just the beginning of the chapter.
It seemed that some information was added just to pack the course hours. Relevance was questionable.
very good
Assisted in increasing my knowledge and awareness of the subject matter.
enjoyed the learning process
Information in this course assisted me in increasing my knowledge of the material.
Us of examples from almost 20 years ago are not predicated as still being applicable under 2024 rules
This course had great examples which makes the learning and understanding much easier.
helpful information great refresher course.
Good information thank you!
YOU GUYS PROVIDE EASY AND ACCURATE
Thank You for always easy the stress of taking the exam. The material and the way you provide everything is so stress free. Again Thank you for EXCELLENT SERVICE.
Excellent
I do have issue with some questions like the one I missed. However, I cannot temeber if I change it from my orginal answer..
Material covers relevant issues.
I would recommend the course to my friends.
There were many different names for the various malware types. Good ideas for protecting data.
Well organized and easy to understand. Thank you very much.
Great course. Course notes are an excellent reference material.
I love the fact that it reads to you
I like the ease in reviewing the course material.
Please review Question 21 Response B. I believe it is written wrong. Used Employer twice and think maybe it is supposed to be Employee and Employer. Thank you
I learned a lot from this. It was well presented and great information.
Muted the person reading the material, was easier to just read it myself
make the material easy to listen to while driving.
Ability to go back and review information and the questions at the end of each section.
Always use this !!!! Ease of reading and help.
Very good and detailed review.
Great course. Easy to follow.
There was at least 1 technical issue where the read-aloud audio read a code snippet .
Material was repetitious, a little confusing.
2023 rules used for 2024 course. Form 2106 classes confusing since only certain groups qualify to use this form and it should be made clearer. Some typos in course questions.
Enhanced my knowledge and understanding of the material.
I recommended to my friend and she is using webce for the first time ever this year
Great CE package overall for 2024! Keep on doing this!
Great presentation, thanks!
Great course! Good job!
excellent course
Very useful presentation! Fits my learning style very well.
Instructive.
The tax preparer notes exceeded the margins and did not cut and paste correctly. Everything else was excellent.
This was a good course. My only comment is I would have liked more detail about disposition of a vehicle and how depreciation and recapture factors in to the gain or loss or what happens when it is disposed of for no money.
Very informative, however, maybe break this unit into 2 or 3 shorter lessons. A lot of information to take in at one time.
The speed of audio should be have more options .....Too fast or too slow, the normal speed is fast.
Very pleased with the course and the instruction.
Would like to have courses on SCorp and Partnerships
I like the self-paced run of the course.
Lots of good information in this class!
Thanks! Keep up the good work
Should have been: Navigating an IRS Audit 2 credits (Types of audits + Represents.) Virtual Currency 2 credits. Contents very lengthy for 3 credits.
thank youn especially for the tech service
SOME OF THE INSTRUCTIONS DID NOT MATCHED THE TEST.
Thank You!!
EXCELLENT
love it
I'm a first time user of WebCE. Very nice and easy to use. The only suggestion I'd like to give is for the audio, if it can be highlighted as it reads, that'll be great. Sometimes I find myself lost especially if I had to pause and come back to it.
happy to complete the course.
There were good points made though out the course.
I like the audio part that helps me to concentrate and understand the course materials easily.
Easy to work with
Awesome work
Thank you for the audio, it makes it easy to learn.
WebCE is an excellent study and testing course
Some of the wording was confusing. A few more examples would help.
Most of the course was good, however, section 4 was sort of confusing in the wording
SOME OF THE QUESTIONS SEEM TO BE QUICK QUESTIONS - IN THE WAY THEY WERE WORDED. I SHOULD HAVE NOTED WHICH OF THE PRACTICE QUESTIONS I FOUND TO BE SUCH - THE NEXT TIME I WILL. BUT OVERALL IT WAS EXCELLENT.
Very well done. Thank you!
I love the in depth discussion and illustration by examples
Very well done!!
Good instruction but learning could be enhanced by being able to control the speed of audio.
Appreciate the option to listen to or not, each section.
I don't think the NIIT section assisted with the question on the exam. It was confusing for me.
WEB CE is my go to every year!
Question No. 15 is somewhat confusing. If the preparer failed to comply with the earned income credit due diligence requirements but was not due to reckless disregard for the rules, there should be no penalty. Please elaborate this question further.
I use WebCE for most of my continuing education. I love how easy it is to use and the ability for self study.
Errors and mistakes make learning difficult
everything is good.
Very solid instruction
I have enjoyed your courses for over a decade. :-)
Pointed out areas that I was not fully aware of,
There are a couple of typos in some of the tables where dates are listed.
I would like to have seen a table of current year income limits with no children, one child and two children.
I Love this course makes it easy to learn and give you a time to complete and learn it.
I am just a part time tax preparer. My career is computer security, with both a CyberSecurity degree and industry certifications in it. So I was looking forward to this class. But to put it briefly, you really need somebody with my background to correct a LOT of technical inaccuracies. For instance, Phishing is one specific type of attack - an email made to look official to convince a user to log in to some account to somehow protect their account password, etc., which redirects that user in the black hat's site to gain that user's username and password. Then you throw in a few specialties like spear phishing and whaling. You did that but you also listed a dozen other separate attacks as "phishing" but they are not. Maybe it doesn't matter given the intended audience, but if you are going to teach something, why not verify the accuracy before presenting it.
Great job!
This course was very informative and easy to follow with all the examples included throughout the course.
I love the method of this CPE
easy to follow
great job
Make the search feature easier to navigate through the search results
Course content helped me to better understand the topics.
Of all the WebCe courses I have participated in over the last few years, this is by far my favorite! The quality of the content was great and very interesting; I found myself really enjoying the author's view and language use. It was a great read! Thank you, Dawn Daniels
sometimes the description of the question did not seem to match what was in the detail, or could be found in the detail. the detail was later found in another chapter of the file.
The wording on the question about what NOT to advise the neighbor is quite tricky in its wording. My answer "C" Read: 'ignore the letter from IRS.' Is this patently incorrect, or can it be worded better? Can you give me CREDIT for this answer? Thanks!
