While this was a (very) short course, additional test questions would be appropriate.
i would like to read the questions in spanish
On the test with the 2026 Annual Tax Season Update, I found question 42 confusing: • 42. Carol wants to participate in the voluntary Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) for preparing 2025 individual 1040 tax returns. By what latest date must she complete any required continuing education? (Search Chapter 7) o a. December 31, 2025 o b. January 31, 2025 o c. February 15, 2025 o d. April 15, 2025 Shouldn't the CE be completed by December 2024 if you were doing taxes in 2025?
Q 15 of the exam lists forms 8282 and 8863. I am not sure that form 8863 exists, but it was not mentioned in the text.
Audio mispronounced several words.
Train the AI speaker to properly speak, especially line numbers 8h (not 8 hours), 8l (not 8 liters), and Schedule A (not schedule uh). While humorous, to me, it could be misleading.
The exam question were more like case studies. They were based more on common sense responses rather than rules and regulations.
It did not have as much content as other WebCE courses I have taken.
The voice reading the text was VERY distracting -- with the off beat inflection
This course is fine for a CPA or accounting professional. It is entirely too detailed about very unique aspects of tax returns when testing CFP professionals.
I love the fact that you have self study and time management skills
Excellent introduction to these topics. On a side note though, the author seems to assume that the gig economy and ride-sharing are "good things." True, they do provide some cost savings and easy side income. I've experienced some "gig-people who were very confused by the tax implications. Neighbors do not necessarily appreciate AIRBNB participants.
Clear and effective learning materials
Excellent Course!
GOOD FOCUS. I WISH THERE WAS MORE OBBBA FORWARD-LOOKING MATERIAL IN THIS COURSE, HOWEVER, YOU OFFER ONEINDEPENDENTLY, AND THIS PARTICULAR COURSE WAS PREPARED TIMELY FOR 2025 RETURNS, OS I THINK YOU DID VERY WELL WITH WHAT YOU WERE GIVEN TO WORK WITH. EXCELLENT JOB, AND THANKS FOR THE ADDITIONAL COURSEWORK THAT BUILDS ON THIS!
Well organized and practical examples
This was a good course and I learned a few things.
Good course
I like the Course, Thanks!
I think the audio reads too fast.
WebCE is my only go-to for education of this sort. Easy to use portal and material is very relevant and up-to-date. Everything is easy to understand.
Timing alocated to each topic was not enough. I enjoyed the course and learnt what I was supposed to learn. Good work!
gave very thorough examples on due diligence requirements
The information was confusing at times and I had unanswered questions.
This course was really good. I enjoyed the combination of learning about Property in a combination of real estate, stock, etc.
Circular 230 is an in depth subject. Thanks you for make it easy to learn and understand. Great course.
The course gave me great insight on ethics for tax professionals!
I learned very useful information!
How could I view the correct answers or have an opportunity to view the correct answers of incorrect answers on the exam? I can see which questions I missed & the initial incorrect answer, but I cannot view what would be the correct answer.
The complexity of the test was completely different than previous years, too many callculations and similiar answers that could have been correct
I always have trouble getting back into my courses from the home page
Some of the questions and the reference Chapter noted on the question was not correct. For example questions relating to the Direct File were in Chapter 1 and not Chapter 7.
I really appreciate the "Read-it-to-me audio". Didn't know how much until I took the 2026 Annual Federal Tax Refresher course that did not have this feature. There are a few subjects that I would dearly love to see CE courses available for. If/when you provide CE for Truck drivers returns, NOLs, AMT, and certain (OR, CA, NM, NY, LA) individual state returns, I will be first in line to order them.
1. As to time ....lots of nits and nats in the content (and the law!) that requires very carefully reading.....more like for a 3 CPE credit hour course 2. The audio has to be activated with each slide.....never saw how I could select to be automatic
On question 5 the use of the term sanctioned for his dumb error of paying the 941 taxes timley would I'm sure at best have only penalty and interest to pay unless it was a chronic problem with the preparer.
Sometimes it was not so easy to identify the answers in the provided material.
Great quality!
The content and questions were written poorly. One sentence stated that Millenials and Gen Z would make up 102% of the working population in 2025. The answer for the question I missed was entirely wrong. The difference between taxi companies and ride-share apps is that taxi companies centrally employ drivers. Both taxi companies and ride-share drivers use apps and GPS to provide business.
VERY EASY TO FOLLOW AND CHECK YOURSELF IF YOUR NOT SURE
I like the course, material provided. The enable reading audio was a plus. I think we could benefit of more real life examples, more like todays date situations.
I'm enjoying the information. Its clear and precise and I can read at the pace I want
I like that I can read at my own pace and make notes. I don't have to wait for the time clock to move on as I'm a fast reader.
I had limited knowledge of the gig economy for tax preparation purposes.
The course is very well organized with good examples and very easy to understand.
Especially this year, there were a great deal of changes to tax law. I feel you spent too much time explaining what the old law were before going into what the new law is. I already know what the old law is, so a simple rehash, perhaps under the heading "Current Law" would be sufficient
The course was a lot harder than I expected with all the various tax form and line item reporting. It confirmed to me that I have no desire to become a CPA and why a CFP Professional should always defer to a qualified tax advisor on tax related issues, especially charitable contributions and donations.
pls update to make smooth transitions from your older original course with the currently added materials, to display in your course summaries
The AI reading of the materials is hilarious! Line 8I becomes 8 liters! Line 24h reads 24 hours! And it can't read minus signs at all!
easy to operate the course
it is very userfriendly and nicely covered
I was told this course would cover all of the Big Beautiful Act. It sisn't
Issues with the technology for during the practice portion some of my answers I selected, were recorded under a different letter. For example, I would select A and instead it was recorded as C or D. Also, the questions on the exam should be worded better.
Excellent course content
Good value and topics updated for current tax law OBBB
I like the audio.
I love the example pars.
doesn't sem like a 2 credit course more like a6 or 7 credit course
Course was effective with materials and training provided. Quick course and reading with examples very helpful. Exam provided what chapter to read for information pertaining to the question. Like this course and would recommend to anyone wanting refreshed or updates or for someone trying to learn about filing status and dependency.
I especially liked the examples given in the chapters
Course was great.
So many variables to remember
A narrater that is a bit more engaging would help.
Quality and clarity of updated course materials, videos and course presen tations
very easy to digest
The examples were very effective. Thank you for including examples!
One of your questions needs to be modified on the exam. For my exam it was question 43 (I copied it below). Either the question needs the year to change to 2026 so the appropriate answer of 12/31/2025 will be correct. Or one of the ansers needs to be chaned to 12/31/2024. 2026 Annual Tax Season Update 43. Carol wants to participate in the voluntary Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) for preparing 2025 individual 1040 tax returns. By what latest date must she complete any required continuing education? a. December 31, 2025 b. January 31, 2025 c. February 15, 2025 d. April 15, 2025
Very helpful update for so many new tax rule changes
I have been using Web CE for 10 years. I think the program is very good. It has a variety of topics that are needed. I will continue using them for as long as I need to do continuing education
easy to understand
Most courses take more time to complete than stated
little pricy for individuals to keep their license active
The 2 hour allotted time was inadequate for the material.
Better and more examples of problems leading to sanctions and related penalties for violations would enhance the content
Even there were just 10 questions - they were quite tricky. I did have to go back to review the chapters.
The course fully met my expectations, providing a clear and thorough explanation of the laws, rules, and regulations governing tax preparation.
Great course!
I was unable to download the course materials.
Great course. Thanks!
I don't understand why the correct answer is not provided when you check the questions you missed. That would be good information to have for a tax preparer's career.
Great course! Thanks!
Am disappointed that I cannot save the course material for future reference as in the past. I often go my saved CE file and review during tax season. I cannot do that now.
Question No. 38 on this 45 question exam is not answerable based on the review material presented.
Material did not seem to flow in order. It jumped from one thought to another thought and was hard to follow. However, overall good education.
The course was a little confusing for me regarding alimony under the TCJA. It seemed to be saying that it was deductible by the payer and to be included by the recipient.
It isn't until digging into the course you soon find out how much you don't know. The simple's topic becomes a challenging one. With recent changes in this category of employment, as a tax preparer one frequently is asked how to keep records and logs as an Independent Contractor. This was an excellent course.
This year the course was a little harder to go through but was able to again learn more than from where I started. For this reason, I like this course.
What I thought was going to be the least difficult course turned out to be the most difficult. I found out there were so much to learn about donation rules which I rarely run into. I admit it was rather painful going through it but soon started to feel accomplished. Thank you!
Some of the practice questions and exam questions did not provide enough detail to confirm an answer. Often had to make assumptions to select an answer. Also, the chapter descriptions were not helpful for going back and trying to review a specific topic. It was easier to search the IRS website and tax return forms to clarify my understanding of a topic to be able to answer practice questions rather than review the course materials that were sometimes oddly organized and difficult to reference.
This was an excellent refresher course and serves as a reminder of our responsibility as a tax professional.
Some of the exam answers are more like common sense thinking vs. re-review the chapter(s).
lots of the questions were not current answers needed to be reinvestigated
Overall, I was satisfied with the course. My only compliant is that I found it sexism that the narrative assumed that the ride-sharing drivers are "he." I understand using gender specific pronouns in the examples based on the names of the individuals in the examples. However, in the body where there is no specific person or example, it would be best to use gender neutral pronouns, like they OR s/he.
I really liked that there was audio with the lessons because I would read on my own and then listen to the audio to make sure I understood and read it correctly
One sample question (answer) incorrectly implied that a non working person can claim dependent care credit - making correct answer impossible
The Case Studies are great.
Very informative.
It seemed like a few questions were tricked questions Overall it was good courses
Provide more case studies. Thank you
The AI voice is annoying and hard to listen too.
The exam questions and the text did not go together
Would like more on out-of-pocket expenses for charities, less on donated property. Otherwise, it was fine.
Very challenging
In regard to chapter 4 for the same sex marriage, it was somewhat confusing as to what the question answer was. I would recommend that the language used for that section in the material be put forth a little more clearly.
I just dont like not getting the correct and incorrect answers
When reviewing incorrect answers on the exam there is no indication of the wrong student answer and the correct answer
One of your sample answers is incorrect. You ignopred a negative for a positive.
Course material helped me understand the subject.
Enjoyed taking the course. It was very informative.
Thank You Very thorough and complete information. Ease in reading and comprehending info. Ease in going back to refresh info and resolve if practice questions were not clear,
exam questions review, the ones being answered wrong, where can I find the correct answers? thanks
Very informative course
Great courses and timely information.
I want updates that apply for the 2025 tax year.
Great course, well done
I have been taking this course for years and like the audio and practice tests
The course does not discuss tax treatment of shared housing. How do you report someone renting only one room in a big house? and how it is reported if it was rented for short times only? depreciation? expanses? etc. Also, you don't mentioned the supplement statement that Uber gives the drivers with all the fees. It's an expanse that the drivers can take but the tax expert has to ask the client for this statement so they can deduct the expanses.
On the final exam, question 5, letter D, has a typo - it is missing Schedule C. It currently says "Schedules and EC." I knew the answer, and the other three options were not correct.
Over detailed
Please look at the answer for Question 5 about making $11,500 for the year. I believe there is a letter missing in the correct answer. I think it should be Schedule "C" and SE.
Perhaps not wording the questions in a negative (eg. which one is NOT) would be better testing quetions
I took an open-book exam expecting to have access to the necessary materials, but none were provided. It felt like being set up to fail. There was no guidance, no feedback on which answers were correct or incorrect, and no support during the process. The entire experience was poorly designed and lacked transparency. If you're going to call it "open book," at least make sure the book exists. This needs serious improvement.
The course was great. The only improvement I would suggest is boiling down the cluster of words used and be simple and straight-forward to make it even easier to understand.
Case studies to illustrate concepts were very helpful
the audio could be a little less monotoned
Enjoyable course. Laws and application was excellent!!
Great course
The practice question sets were very thorough, moreso than in the other 20 program I've completed here. The detailed calculation scenarios were particularly helpful for me.
I feel this course was at a far higher level than my position requires, or is allowed to use. I cannot give tax advice, nor is it in my field. I felt largely overwhelmed by the course.
Excellent course
Course was very clear and understandable. Thank you!
Some of the audio had mispronounced words. Some of the practice question could be worded clearer.
Needs to be updated.
Interesting topic. Easy to tie exam back to course content
A lot of material - could be condensed.
I would to see the chapter notes visible while quizzing
I wish it tell you the correct answer you got wring
answers not provided to questions I got wrong - just would like to see correct answers too...tk you
Domestic Production Activities was listed as a topic but there was no information about it. It was in the glossary though.
Could the print be any smaller on the printout?
First of all I love WebCE and I did okay on this course. It was adequate but I felt some of the questions and answers were confusing and one was sort of an opinion. For example, one question asked what is not an uncommon deduction (I believe). There is a double negative, and "uncommon" is subjective to different practices and clientele.
There is an error in the question below. Where did the extra $300 come from? Adam refinanced his mortgage for 20 years in January 2017 and paid $3,000 in points. He refinanced with Bank of America to get a better interest rate and did not take out any additional money. He has been amortizing the points of $150 ($3,000 ÷ 20 years) each year on his tax return. In November 2023, he decides to refinance with Hanover Bank, a local bank with a better interest rate. He is charged $2,000 for points on this new 20-year loan. On his 2023 return, Adam can take the remaining points on the Bank of America loan as a deduction of $2,400 ($3,000 - $600 [points already taken]). Adam will also start to amortize the $2,000 in points paid over 20 years. In 2023, he can also deduct $16.67 ($2,000 ÷ 20 = $100 per year; $100 ÷ 12 × 2 months).
Informative and well presented.
The first section was REALLY long and could be divided into two sections.
Please provide the correct answer after the exam in a different color then the wrong answer This would really help Thank you
thank you , great course
The answer to one of the final questions was incorrect or the text material was incorrect. The text stated that performing artist could deduct expenses if they exceed 10% of income. In the final question, the expenses did not exceed 10% of income.
In the figures, there are some un-upgrade version in metric. Not changed the old data.
I like how you added examples in each lesson it help me to understand more THANKS
I want some short videos included to help me retain content and to break the continuous reading format.
the course is very comprehensive, and easy to follow. One can learn reasoning and logic from the lessons, more than learning tax laws by rote or cramming.
Question #10- It was horrible. There was No Prior Information or Example of the question although it ended up on a quiz. I didnt like the question at all.
clear and ease of use
Great examples
Well organized and easy to understand. Thank you!!
It would be nice to find out the correct answer to a missed question.
It was easy to understand and it definitely helped me understand and remember
ALOT OF GREAT MATERIAL
WELL WRITTEN MATERIALS FOR A REFRESHER COURSE.
This course is great for tax preparers, its easy to do and has the most recent information and well prepared training for us.
Questions on exam were oddly stated, for example, putting the pronouns for her and he in that order. What happened to the universal "he". Woke exam?
Great course and easy to navigate!
I'm still unhappy that correct answers are not provided for missed answers. Every CPA review course I've ever studied with shows the correct answer. That part is disappointing.
Excellent material
I noticed in a couple of the chapters, some of the materials used for examples were not updated correctly, which caused a bit of confusion. You need someone to go through and THUROUGHLY proof read the materials and make sure everything is updated.
WebCe is the best course I've have in years, including self study and in person classes
still would like to know WHY my answers to 2 questions are wrong
USE of "Cannot" and "Can" in test questions were designed to be "TRICKY" in several instances.
Audio was too fast and had to mute. Questions were extremely complex and material was extensive to look through. Feel that it should have been organized in a different layout. Was very difficult to understand all the different scenarios.
Information is very likely to grasp and absorb.
This was awesome course with great knowledge material.
Error on page 32. Second example indicates $220,000 is greater than $230,00. I believe the first figure was intended to be larger.
Need correct answers marked after test for review, does no good to review your incorrect answers if you don't know the correct ones, it would help to know the reasoning as well
I missed 2 questions. How do I find correct answers?
Don't like the computer voice for instructor. Real person would be nice.
Easy to read
Very user-friendly.
courses are for learning tax law, rules and regulations - not providing correct answers to Exam errors does not further that learning and education goal
Great course! Good job!
The answer to the last question was wrong. According to your syllabus and the IRS casualty losses can only be claimed in a declared disaster area. A guitar burning up in a small house fire would not qualify. I marked the deduction as $0 and it was reported as wrong. Humm.....
EXCELLENT COURSE
excellent course, but need more than 1 question in the chapter
Great Material and course structure
excellent course
Would like to see the correct answer when you get one wrong. Don't just show the question you got wrong provide the correct answer too...this would help if someone misread the question
course material very easy to understand
very explanatory
Easy to understand and navigate. Thanks
I guess you should provide the Wrong Answer to the Question when Test is Failed just to know what mistakes we made for not to pass the TEST
Easy to follow. Clear and concise.
What I liked about the course was the graphics and the formulas used in the calculations.
THE WRITTEN MATERIAL NEED A LITTLE MORE INFORMATION.
I like the illustration in the course.
Very easy
After I took exam, It should provide right answer from my wrong answer.
Good course!
Thank you for adding the audio, it helps so much.
on practice question #2 in chapter 3. your question states that Roxanne paid $3350 in student loan interest in 2024 . how much can she deduct on sch 1 of her 2022 tax return ? typos should say "deduct on sch1 on her 2024 tax return"
very useful information in course for my tax work.
Pointed out areas that I was not fully aware of,
More interactivity, visuals, and graphics.
At the end after taking exam I would like to know the Answer to the wrong Question just to make sure that my answer were matching Thanks
