While the "read it to me" feature was helpful for me, I was significantly annoyed by the obviously AI voice that sounded very much like a robot. The voice isn't really ready for prime time. In addition, I would very much liked to have had an option for changing the speed of the robot. In my case, the robot spoke slower than I was reading, which was quite annoying. I learn better by hearing the text rather than silently reading it, but I ended up just skipping quite a bit of text because of the annoying vocals.

I believe the answer to Question 18 is incorrect. The question asks about "legal" rights, and the right answer would be (a) - only an attorney can explain legal rights to clients. The course says it is (b) - that the estate planning advisor can advise them of legal rights after they sign a retainer agreement seems completely wrong to me. Please check that. Thank you.

The course focused too much on insurance and annuity contracts and issues. While interesting, most portfolio managers and RIA's only occasionally deal with such issues.
Since I use the audio feature, I would have preferred that I could continue without having to select the button “continue,”

Hearing the information is better than having to read it. I retain more information that way. I was able to leave my computer for a few minutes without being logged out which was very convenient.
Extremely time consuming!
Notably, this course is aimed at insurance salespeople and therefore understates the negative effects of fees on insurance policies. Non-sales based advisors will not recommend certain insurance policies only because of the high fees.
My gratitude to Will W. continues with every course I have had to retake to get my CFP CE credits needed (of which I incorrectly filed the first time I took the courses for IAR requirements). I only have the Code of Ethics left, and that I had to do as an additional course for my CFP. Thank You WILL!

Too much legal terminology for someone who is not an attorney. This class would of been helpful to have reviewed when to bring an estate attorney in and when. The specifics were too much to remember for someone who does not work as an attorney. Financial advisors are not attorneys and we should stay in our lane. (Just my opinion)

Outsized focus on insurance. Way too much
The cybersecurity portion was overkill --too way to log to provide the actual individual financial advisor with was is really controlled by the management of the firm.. A overviiew and the role individual financial advisors would play is sufficient. FAs cannot make the decision, don't typically create the casualties, ensure that cybersecurity is in place and practices. NO control...so too much time spent on his part of the course.

For a course described as "case studies," it was very disappointing that the course offered so little description and individual color on so few specific cases. More like another overview, rather than true case studies.

I would try to break the sections up more uniformly. Having a 1 minute video, then a 30 minute video, followed by a 2 minute video leaves me guessing just how long this is going to take. I would prefer more sub-sections with relatively similar durations per section.

I completed Firm Element in early Oct 25. Still showing as a requirement here causing me to have to verify I was credited 6 Credits for those 6 credits. Do you have a relationship with FinPro? That would be valuable.
In general, it was very detail oriented and informational. However, the information contained regarding BOI is totally incorrect. FinCEN removed the requirement for U.S. companies to report Beneficial Ownership information in March 2025, and you still have not updated your materials to reflect those changes. Bad habit for someone telling us to keep our information up to date.
Many of the SEC links (the footnotes) were broken. This needs to be fixed.
Question 15 correct answer. Questions asks "What is the primary requirement.." Course material states "If you are a dual registrant, you are encouraged.." NOT Required to.

The comparison of the tax deferred annuity vs a mutual fund was not very accurate as there many factors that affect taxation. For example, a growth fund would distribute little or no dividends and unless there is a capital gains distribution, there would be very little tax. If there is a capital gains distribution, the gains are only taxed at 0 or 20% so the investors income would be a factor. I found the comparison lacking and may lead some professionals to believe the deferral advantage is greater than it is in real life. The other glaring mistake is that living income riders costs often 1% or more. In the olden days, the cost of a guaranteed income/withdrawal rider was .30 % to .50%, but no longer!
The presumably AI voice reading the text. It's emphasis on words was off, and that interfered with a clear understanding of the text. It was close to being robotic.

This was my first experience with WebCE. I was impressed. I am a CPA and will use this program for those CE credits.
After taking the final exam and then grading the exam. I reviewed my answers and noticed two question errors in grading my exam. the program did not record my answer response correctly. What's up with that? It doesn't matter, now because I did pass the exam. Even though the exam did not record my answers properly!

I loved the courses I took on Web CE, but did find the Exam multiple choice answers to sometimes (perhaps many times) be too simple, or even ridiculous. The apparent intention seemed to be to give test takers an easy route to complete the courses, which--at least in my mind--does a disservice to the industry. I'm not saying we should make the multiple choice answers so difficult that the exams no longer serve as a capstone to the course material. What I am saying is that eliminating silly answers, or ridiculous answer, would allow the serious financial practitioner who chose Web CE as their provider to enhance their knowledge in a legitimate manner. Including silly and ridiculous answers to exam questions sets a low bar for those practitioners who take their craft seriously.

The time to complete this course is easily double the advertised time. This has been true of all the courses I’ve taken and I’m not stupid or slow. It feels almost punitive. The quality of the course is very good but it should be credited for more time.
This is way too much information for the role that I have at my firm. A complete misuse of my time.
You provide timely and easy CE credit reporting to the State. I just got my AWMA designation, and they have no understanding with the State that the content could be used for CE.
The last session 3 hours is TOOOOO Long. it should be broken down into sub - sections of 1.5 hours each or 3 x 1 hour sessions. It took an entire morning to complete and not optimal during a workday.
Took much longer to review than time credit allowed. Material was very good. Test questions were excellent.

I have used WebCE for the last three years for me CE requirements and have also recommended it to multiple people, who in turn have used WebCE.
A 1.5 hour class should NOT take over 2 hours simply to listen to your audio narration. That is wrong.
The content was entirely too long and should have been broken up into smaller segments
some data presented is out of date. Nobody retiring wants a reduced income in retirement so teaching that 60% to 70% is necessary in retirement is not accurate.

I believe some of your content is in error.. and you should check for yourself. The specific item is "Withdrawals from Roth IRAs are tax free, provided the owner is at least 59½ years old and has owned the account for five years or more. They also are not subject to the minimum distribution rules, and Roth assets can be passed to heirs tax free. Withdrawals can be spread out over their lifetimes, which will give their inheritance additional years to grow, tax free." It is my understanding that even tax-free inherited accounts must be liquidated over a 10 year period.
My favorite course so far this year. Love the content and refresher on trusts.

So the last 2 overviews, I did not think the material was put together well, this one was. ie - in the last one, how you don't have a TITLE for PATRIOT act, when there is like 3 questions, makes no sense. This was better.

I would like to hear some real life examples in the lesson.
This education part, was written LIKE an annuity. Very hard to find the material/answers quickly. Like an annuity, simple answers should be bullet pointed, versus buried. Did not like this one.

Some of the test questions need to be revised. There was a practice question without the updated kiddie tax rules re trust rates. Final text question has wrong people (the one using Sharon and her son)!

The practice and exam questions reinforce understanding the material. I am mostly getting 100% or just missing one or two, so it speaks to the quality of your courses.
Liked that the questions were straight forward and you weren't trying to "trick" me or trip me up. Wish you could go straight to the exam. I do this to full fill a licensing requirement.

This is a REPEAT of CFP CE. Internal corporate CE, FINRA CE. This is a scam by the State of Florida to fleece investment professionals out of money by requiring them to duplicate CE done elsewhere. THIS IS A FARCE>
Test questions were to difficult and the course to long. This is just another money grab by the States. Its a simple repetitive course to: FINRA, CFP and Internal CE courses. IT SERVES NO POINT!
I liked that the practice and final exam questions tested you on a clear understanding and not tricky/close or looking for minor things such as remembering a certain date or regulation number.
You asked a question on "legal efficacy" in the exam but did not cover this term in your prep materials. Secondly, the first sentence in Bold Letters of "Fraud Defined" in your prep material states "Fraud is any activity that relies on deception to make a gain." In your practice test you had this as an answer choice. I selected it and you marked it wrong. Don't list it as a choice if it is not an acceptable answer.

The "+" to add credits for other CE requirements (insurance, CFP, RIA, PACE, etc.) was hard to find and confusing to use. Sort that out so that one may easily see whether, or not, a CE is available on a list, and for how much $ without circling back and forth through the "Check Out" process. Offer a better "Cross Check" feature and a clear "Check Out" reminder. It took me 10 minutes to sort through that routine to find and pay for my extra credits. It wasn't very intuitive (think like a "user" and not a "programmer"... place yourself in the customer's shoes, test it on real-world clients first, and on-going), and it wasted too much time. It's good, but may be improved. Thanks for creating this WebCE site; it has served me well over the years.
Questions were simple and easy to answer. Did not really test your knowledge of the subject and material.
The course included way too much about annuities and not enough on Senior Clients. Questions were a joke and much too easy to answer. I didn't need to read the material to answer the questions...
WEBCE allows the participant to enjoy what is being learned due to the format and content.

I like that I can print a PDF and take it home to read at night .
The computer generated audio was confusing at times. Having a person actually read the content would help with understanding and retention. A human reading the content would give a more personal touch and be more friendly. The computer generated voice over, is very cold and robotic. Not bery pleasing to listen to.

A little bit dry and parochial compared to FINRA CE and our Firm CE, which was more entertaining and used different types of modules, instead of just straight data.
Pro: case studies; Con; once I selected the "audio /playback' , I couldn't go back and change it to "decline". Overall: A+

The test was way too easy. Many nonprofessionals could pass the test cold without reading the content
There was one contradiction in my opinion regarding insider trading. The exceptions listed Directors and Executives of corporations are exempt, but following that were examples where the SEC made arrests included Directors and Executives of Corp's.

The AI generated voice is overall pleasant and conducive to learning. However, there are times when it mis-pronounces words or has a slight timing or odd inflection moment.

The read to me audio is not good. I like a real person doing it. The AI feature does not understand the nuances of reading the material or how to pronounce all words.

This course was too long and too detailed/difficult for a financial advisor especially for a 2 unit class. I fail to see how such detail can help an FA as i think this detail would be better left to the attorney creating the document. Thx
I'm very disappointed in how the wording in the annuities section made them sound so appealing. I consider them terrible investments that push the boundaries of being allowable if you call yourself a fiduciary. They exist, so their rules should definitely be explained, but comments like, "ideal for retirement planning" and the like should be left out.

Having AML and Cybersecurity lumped together made for a lot of detail packed into a single course for an exam. I took it in one sitting, but I feel like those topics deserved to be broken out into course of their own, especially for exam purposes.
When the read-it-to-me feature is used, it would be very handy to have the audio follow the sentence on the screen. If you aren’t looking at the screen while listening, and then want to go back to the text, you have to scroll through the material to see where you left off with the audio.

Course was well written.
These mandates do nothing and are redundant based on firm specific CE/Ethics and do not even factor in whether a professional has a CFP or other designation that has more enhanced CE or ethics requirements. FINRA has failed its charter and operates as a predatory institution extorting professionals in the industry for financial gain.
three hour course is very long - maybe too long.

I was offended by the use of "Elderly clients", which stated it begins between 60 to 65. I am NOT elderly.

This course was extremely difficult. Wording in the course material was oversimplified and did not match the lengthy and tedious wording of test questions. Very unusual for a WEB CE course.
There should be more practice questions within the content.
I don't have an insurance license, so I'm not sure why so much time is spent on annuities.

Everything was great. However, please change the names of Amos and Andy. As you may or may not know, that duo goes back to blackface and the Jim Crow era and could be percieved as extremely racist. I was slightly taken aback myself.

Great material, especially the Case Study Real-World Examples!
This course is a slog to get through and is not very engaging. A suggested redesign may be to create case studies and then dive into the relevant AML and/or cybersecurity elements it touches on rather than the current massive information dumb.

Most of the information is aimed at a firms responsibility to draw up proceedures for the firm. Very little of the information is applicable to financial advisors. The material and info could be dramatically shortened to relavency.

way too many acronyms. you need to constantly remind us of what they stand for. We are introduced to them once, then they are repeated along with 40 other acronyms, I forgot what they stood for.

This course was for 3 CE credits. I would suggest that the course content covers so much material it should be divided into two courses with Estate Planning being one hour and the rest two hours.
I'm a RR and IAR and a lot of the material seemed more appropriate for broker dealers and RIA's.
Break up the sessions over 10 minutes long.
Love the read to me audio and that i could reference materials in the exam effectively
Be careful of spelling errors.
One of the questions in the exam refers to a "example:" yet there was no table or example listed.

Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts is a subject I never worked on, and a lot of the course was actually totally difficult to understand without long reading sessions. ILIT was the only WebCE course I have taken where I beiieve it should be much more direct and simple with its presentation, There is too much to digest on the many tax issues, and I am a CPA, but have not practiced when I changed career to focus on investment management. I was worried I would not eevn get 70% correct on the ILIT Exam, so I lucked out.
Setion on 72T and 72 Q very informative, not much discussed elsewhere
I liked the option to move through the course at my own speed - without required autio, whic slows down the course.

One concern was when I checked a box for an answer, on rare occassions a different box was checked when I reviewed my answers after the quiz after the test. This occurred twice on the quizzes and once on the exam.

I am a CPA who wanted to learn more about ILETs. I did not like this course. Some portions were too general and some were too technical. You should have this course and the exam reviewed by a tax lawyer or CPA with estate and trust knowledge.
The content was well presented but there was too much attention given to the ILIT type trusts.

The course is very clear and easy to follow. Excellent work.
The course enables a typical CPA to discuss the basic concepts with a client. However, most of the trust creation would be performs by a qualified attorney so the CPA's billing potential is minimal.
Many of the questions on the test didn't seem to track with the course material. There were variables to the answers that were not clearly defined.
Excellent CE experience overall. I like the CE credits are processed very quickly. Easy for me.
Some of the content was very detailed but necessary to understand just how complex annuities can be.

The test questions are more confusing than testing the knowledge of test takers. Perhaps consider trying to trick someone and have more straight forward questions. There is no way to review the questions answered incorrectly. This took way longer than any of the 4 other CEs needed.
That robot voice is THE WORST. I liked the format, though. I found it useful and I plan to keep it available to me to review in the future.
72(t) is complicated stuff. I real world no one wants to touch the calculations, as they're afraid of any liability if incorrectly calculated.

Heavy subject for those who do not work in this arena. Many details and exceptions to remember.
This was a tough course because it consisted of the cruddy material that I didn't necessarily want to learn. I thought this was going to be more about riders and such, not tax material. Overall, it wasn't bad, it was just blah.
