Interesting course - the further I got into it the more advanced I felt it was. I think it may be a bit advanced for a introductory course. I enjoyed it and thought the presentation was great but I think that it was most likely underrated in the amount of time it took to complete it.
There was too much material for the life exam. It would have been easier to go to law school and study tax law and insurance than to take this course.
I like most of this course and very easy /clear.

Love the simple but effective presentation. I do personally like more interactive material (i.e. quizzes, thought experiments, hypothetical scenarios with applied concepts), as this helps me learn better. Possibly consider adding more optional materials such as this within the course.

Finding some "typos" in the materials - Example: discrete is not the word intended in 5.5, paragraph 1 "Think of the Customer" section and sentence "... information safe and to be discreet" (discrete was used instead.
I picked a course for the basics of life insurance. There was a lot of tax information, which made this much harder than learning the basic life insurace. I would have thought that amount of detail should be covered in another course for taxes for life insurance.
The font and words were hard to read. I would change the font to be a thicker print

The questions were not gotcha. I have been doing this for a while and I could reasonably reduce choices and make educated guesses on things I was not sure about. And that is how life works! In the field I would look it up to be sure, but here I could guess and I was surprisingly correct!

This is probably one of the best CE courses i have ever taken. This is my 35th yr in the business and I am a CLU, so i have a lot of expertise, but I learned something today I did not know---"the Accelerated DB is paid to the owner and not the insured". This is critical because in most cases, (the insured is unable to sign or apply for claim due to sickness or injury) so I've always thought the family would need a power of attorney to file a claim. Thank goodness this not the case. Ownership could solve this problem. My Mother-in-law was diagnosed terminally ill with brain cancer with less than 6 mo to live. The brain cancer quickly destroyed her motor skills; she could not sign her name. No one in the family had power of attorney to sign for her, so we had to wait for her death. Had ownership been changed early enough to a responsible family member, a claim could have been made. I have been in Insurance Company Field Leadership for years. Ironically, most insurance companies spend 90% of their time training the field on sales and not on claims, so knowing about how Accelerated Benefits is paid and how to file a claim, is generally not taught to agents and brokers. ***The Good News***your course provides a lot of good training that in some cases is NOT taught anywhere else. THANK YOU!!! A+++ (P.S. I will pass this knowledge to my agents and brokers and most important, i will refer them to this course (among others) by WebCE). The section on the tax portion was a little confusing simply because the term becomes redundant and sometimes hard to follow but it is a difficult subject matter to simplify. Overall great course

Some of the MEC info and the calculations on the las quiz before exam were hard to understand. But on so long a course I seemed to get a bit distracted and tired. But the WRONG answers to the quizzes gave me insight enough to help me with the final exam.

As a former senior life underwriter I noticed a few incorrect and outdated questions. One that comes to mind is about the bodily systems and underwriter would not use to evaluate a risk. You said the answer was "skin" and I immediately thought "What about melanoma". Anyway, it can use some modernization.

Instead of having the customer to go hunt for the courses again, there should just be a button beside the listed course that says, 'reorder'. Sort of like what DoorDash does for its customer (LOL). Even though I passed the exam, the exam chapter questions and final course exam questions were amongst the most difficult exam questions I have ever taken. I would not recemmend this course.
I found the proctor instructions to be confusing at first. The way it's described on the site makes it seem like you must have a proctor logged in using ZOOM meeting but I eventually found where it says it can be done in person with a proctor monitoring your exam.
Questions are worded very strangely and often make it difficult to understand what is being asked. Quit trying to trick people and just ask the question straight forward.

Nothing to do with Webce, but rather the state of CT new regs that prevent one from taking the final exams exceeding 8 credit hours in a 24 hour period. I get the taking the course but it makes no sense for the final exam.

This course was informative and easy to follow. Just going through this with a loss of a parent was helpful to learn what I can do to protect my family. Crash course study or A.K.A Fast track systems are stressful. As long as my brain works right to retain.... So far course is well laid out.
This course, for whatever reason, ran smother. The voice reading was slower than the others for some reason. It was easier to focus on all questions. I learned a great deal.
There were lots of implied questions that were not fully presented during the presentation.
I use the voice option. I feel on this particular course; it went pretty fast. Words seemed to be ran into one another. Very little pauses.
Clear content, exceptionally beneficial.
The only problem I had was trying to get the proctor signed in. She tried and the box went away. I had to enter all of the information three times before the signing completed and went to the exam.

There were 100 pages of content to go through. It took me more than 5 hours to study this. There was SO much information I was pretty overwhelmed, but then when I took the test it really focused more on the basics of Life Insurance. Which I was very thankful about otherwise I might not have passed as there was so much information in the study guide. Thank you.

Like many in the business (& I am retiring) I have been in the Med Supp/Life side for my entire 25 yrs. and I was prompted to mentally review my policies - great admirer of Annuities and Life- and I will do some re-arranging and familiarization with my beneficiaries and will also coach them on their Life policies.
I appreciate the lack of legalese, and how it is written in plain language--to the point. I also like all the course options to learn new things.

I am older now and do not know if I will renew my license in two years. It may be helpful to present all the information about a topic in one chapter instead of building on it later again. I have to do bits at a time for study and have many interruptions as I follow along.

I took this course as I used another provider that was supposed to provide all necessary hours only to find out it didn’t satisfy the ethics component.
There is not enough listed of what is in the bundled packages. I ordered 3 unnecessary additional subjects because the subjects are embedded into the bundles that can only be seen once. They should be a continuous list in each area seen for the bundle.

I didn't like this particular course. It was hard understand and there was no review of key points or glossary. I think both of those could have helped the understanding process.
The content included much more detail, so I felt accountable to spend more preparation time studying detailed concepts. Luckily, the test only included general concepts.

This is a minor comment because the course was good. But when I used my ear buds.. I could not start the audio using them. I had to start on my phone .. then could pause while driving with ease.. but it was an inconvenience to use my phone to start the audio. Thank you
chapter summaries were very nice for doing a quick review before the exams, and the videos did a great job explaining the concepts in a real world scenario.

The read it to me aloud function did not work on both computers I tried and did not automatically continue as I had selected. It made me keep clicking to start it, and also towards to end would not check that I completed sections until I clicked continue, went back to the section and forwarded again.

Too many 5question quizzes.
Some sections were EXTREMELY long and needed to be divided into smaller sections. By doing this, it will continue to keep the learner focused and not feel overwhelmed.

I like that WebCE reminds me that I need to take more classes and that it reports it directly to the state.
THis course should be adjusted to three 8 hour sections to better conform to the 8 hour per day rule.

Alot of the content of the course was not relevant to me but the test questions did reflect real circumstances that were very relevant.
There's a typo in Chapter 14, under Gifting Life Insurance, descendant is misspelled as decedent
One of the chapter knowledge questions was confusing. All answers were for people not listed as policy owners and the question was who receives benefits.

CE requirements for license renewal were unclear. The right side of the screen shows an "!" next to categories you don't have selected, but those aren't needed for license renewals
Would be nice to have more video instead of the Bueller voice.
I really found the videos at the end of the larger segments of information very helpful. They helped boil down all that you read into a good scenario or situation you could relate to.

The course met all my needs in a concise and clear manner.
With this content I found myself re-reading the questions and material a couple of times because I wanted to make sure I was clear on what was being conveyed. However, some of this content is not easy to convey and is something that you have to double check yourself before you answer questions.

The videos were great; however, the graphics in the stationary gif objects sometimes just take up room. Could make them smaller. The videos explain the chapter content, and the standalone graphics just seem old at times.

Course information is easy to follow, and I like the quizzes at the end. But some of the modules contain too much information.
Not knowing the date the training was compiled was not sure how relative the pricing and cost were to todat 2025? I know I will have to gather my own numbers for today so it was not overall very important. Other than that, the rest of the training was great!

The CT requirement that only allows you to take only up to 8 hours a day should be bold or highlighted! This is a new requirement and if you have a course less than 8 hours you can’t take a 4 hour and a 5 hour course in one day and you can’t take a 9 hour or more course in one day. It can now take up to 5 days to complete when you could do it in several less days .

It really did take several hours to complete this course, where as other courses took a lot less than the credit hours received. It was deceiving and I did not allow myself enough time to really absorb the information. My fault for waiting until the last minute to complete my CE's.

When changing the audio volume for the read-to-me feature, it would be nice if it stayed where I put it instead of having to adjust the volume on each page.
The quiz questions for the last 2 chapters were awful. Half the time you asked what was taxable and half the time you asked what wasn't. Ask the question the same way every time. Let me just do the math instead of also then repeatedly re-interpreting the frame of reference. I know the tax situation, but was wildly confused by your questions as to whether I was supposed to provide the taxed figure or the tax savings.
Ther is no need to ask if you want to enable the auto read. Please stop asking that

Too much information. Glad most of it was not in the final exam. A lot of the information was "over the top" -- especially regarding estate taxation and federal taxation of life insurance. The insurance comparative costs were also too much.

The class credit units was inappropriate. The verbal reading in one setting took well over 4 hours. It including the exam should not have taken more than 2 hours for a computer to read the text and do the activities. If your classes continue to not be properly provided credit hours per the contect, then I can not recommend this course. Other wise it was an excellent course. Also loved the verbal reading to me.
The tests were challenging and made me study hard
I thought the test was going to be hard but I was stressing for no reason!
The AI generated voice really was a drawback. It generally made it hard for me to focus on the speaking compared to the monotony of the voice and the mispronunciation of words. I wouldn't recommend utilizing that feature.
Read to me could have better narration that flows from section to section. Kind of runs together. The content itself was great. A little wordy at times where the examples definitely helped.

Not the fault of WebCE, but I find it preposterous that an adviser seeking to fulfill silly CE requirements is forced to sit for 3 hours when he/she could have passed all quizzes and exams with 100% correct answers in 60-90 minutes. What's more important, putting in time, or knowing the material exceptionally well???

Most tests on here are really easy. This one was substantially more difficult. Was trying to watch Monday night football and I had to take this test like 4 times. CE is such a scam and if the states were smart they would charge more $ when it comes time to renew licenses so that they can keep all the money and everyone can go back to enjoying the game.

Since there were no pictures or other visual representations in this course, it was hard for me to stay awake through it. 121 pages of dry material were boring, and it was too wordy. Some visuals to break it up would have been a relief. The content was good, however, and I appreciated all the real life examples of fraud here in our state.

The opportunity to retake the questions through which one builds additional level of understanding is a thing I like most.
The questions were simply and easy to understand.
The learnings didn't help me understand the math of these types of plans and I struggled with the quizzes because of it.

while the read to voice was nearly natural it still contained the "computer generated" voice qualities. this was, on occasion, a bit distracting. Still the read allowed as I follwed the text was VERY helpful thank you
I like the read it to me audio feature, because you can listen and follow along as you go which helps to understand the content.
Much of the course content goes into far more depth than is required for the exam which makes the content more confusing and intimidating.

I have been using WebCE for years
Like many CE courses, this one is becoming outdated in regard to it's focus on Boomers, who are all over 60 years old in 2024 and assumptions about longevity, which is actually decreasing except for more affluent Americans.

I think the time stated to complete the courses should be stated as taking a little longer than originally stated. Misspelled an answer which gave a totally different meaning. Example: If an insured names minors as beneficiaries, the insurer might require that a guardian hold the policy death benefit proceeds until when? a. The minors were married b. The minors reach majority c. The minors are past age 30 d. The minors are retired I believe the answer is b, but majority should be maturity

Although I experienced numerous technical issues, once I ordered the course it was easy to follow.
The course that it states takes 7 hours to complete is not true. It is a misrepresentation of the course because when listening to the audio you have to wait and if you fail test keep taking it again. It was way over 7 hours. Also, too many policy calculations.

The interactives didn't provide sound consistently.
I passed all the sections but some of them were very challenging and it took me many tries because I couldn't fully comprehend some of the tricky sections, like taxation, and numbers sections. But overall I was able to gain a lot more knowledge.

There were a few topics that seemed to me to venture a little too far into the professional workings of a CPA, such as the tax advantages and disadvantages of estate planning concepts - areas only people with appropriate licenses should advise. Have been in the industry for 28 years. Half of the material in this course is VERY advanced for most life insurance sales professionals. Would suggest removing some of the detailed material on Life Insurance in Qualified Plans as an example, and replacing it with other material.
I found this course to be very insightful and I did pick-up some new information that was helpful. I really like the feature of the materials being read. I have been using WebCE for several years and I like the pricing structure.

Base on other 3 hour courses that justified the amount of time it took to complete said course. This "4" hours course was in excess of of 4 hours to complete, Hence, re-evaluation of the credits for this course to be investigated and reconsidered for future purposes.

far too many uses of interrupted thought in the reading material. such as parenthesis, the use of "i.e.", etc. would be better to simply continue with topic continuity. these mid-sentence caveats are distracting. also the pace and inflection of the automated voice used for the reading can be very confusing. it's emphasis on many word locations is incorrect and pauses are missing where they should be in many cases.
The only thing that I didn't like is that after the read to me audio would finish, I didn't have an option for it to automatically go to the next section.
the monitor is not available all the time
Who writes this material? The only positive thing about the course is that I don't have to take it for another two years.

Everything is great just wish they would say what courses you need and how many hours you needed from certain sections but was able to get everything done by calling customer service because we were completely lost.
I have always used WebCE to complete my Continuing Education Requirements.
This was a very good course. It kept my attention and reminded me of things that are important. I do think the test bank for some of the quiz questions at the end of each section is not entirely accurate though. It seemed that at times there would be a question in a section that did not relate to the material of that chapter, but related to a previous or future chapter. I don't mind being quizzed on something from a previous section, but it's not prudent to have a quiz question is a section from future material not yet covered. Please have someone review the test bank to ensure the questions appear where they should.
I didn't care for the robot voice. Perhaps you could have a live actor read the script? Thank you!

The reference to a "widow" in one of the questions (within the context of describing a person who might need additional help) was inappropriate in that it perpetuated an incorrect assumption that females are someone inferior to their male companions. It would be better to describe the person as a "surviving spouse" and not simply as a "widow".

The last question was a gtrick question Which constitites an unuathorized practice? i had it wrong but was a trick. i put refer client to an attorney for legal, in notes it stated never advise to get legal advise if you are not qualified. anser was draft a contract by behalf client...trick

I commend the trainers who compiled this curriculum. The training was concise, easy to understand, and facilitated positive exam score.
I do not feel every question on the exam needs to be a paragraph.
Overall it was great - for my personal learning style, videos and interactive activities are more engaging but with the auto play audio, it was a nice blend.

I like how it's easy to find the content I'm looking for; contact a support agent, the length of course; the relevance of the exam questions.
Pay a real human being to read the content. That was one of the worst AI readings I have ever heard. This isn’t the most exciting material to study, so having a REAL person with realistic annunciation and cadence would have made a BIG difference. I finally turned it off and just read it myself.

Having to find a monitor for the exam was extremely inconvenient. I realize it's a state of Colorado requirement, but in my opinion, it is unreasonable given that it is a short and relatively easy exam.

I really enjoyed the practice exams, however, I do wish there were more practice questions after each section to cover more of the material to get ready for each exam.
some of the information was subject to insurance companies policies but in the material it made it appear to be set in stone a certain way. Example, accelerations do not alway leave a death benefit for the remaining amount, the policy is terminated

Unfortunately, I needed to make notes to myself to recheck 13 questions before submitting my answers for grading - straightforward questions would have avoided confusion

Youre questions are literally paragraphs. Its kind of bullshit that we have to read 50 pages of the same nonsense weve already learned and then read paragraph questions. 30 fucking paragraphs for one test is dumb. I will only use webce again if you manage to simplify these exams. the two hour course was half spent reading questions and thats terrible. I felt like i was reading the fucking harry potter series with these q and a's.
The course was enjoyable and helped me understand the material.
The formatting of the downloadable .pdf file leaves unnecessary gaps.
Section 2 could be divided with questions in the middle, because it was entirely too long.
I miss not having Quiz Questions at the end of each chapter. I find the Quizzes an effective learning tool. I also like having the material in the downloadable pdf format.

My ethical course was very study friendly with each chapter. I passed with 100% on my first try.
I was expecting it to be pre-recorded by an instructor, so that threw me a little. Would like more practice questions along the way to break up the monotony of just reading. The videos were okay.

I listened to the course in full and it still did not complete the time requirement. I had to go back and play some sections again just to get my time. Also, it seems like the time to take the test should also count in the total time.

this course was not what i expected. These questions have too many possible answers and leave it to guessing what is the "best choice" out of 3 correct answers. I thought this was educational and not a exercise in "feelings"
in this course all the question on the exam seemed subjective and open to personal interpretation and not fact based. I found this course exam ridiculously hard to complete as no questions had exact answers.....its like a theology exam
This course equally applies to any insurance producer. I do not sell life insurance but found the course to be very useful. I think the examples used should be varied to reflect this

My only suggestion is that it would be nice to see something listed next to the course that said something like "meets 2 hr CA ethics requirement" or something like that to make sure we take the correct course.
The read-it-to-me audio is very monotone and hard to listen to. If the audio had a better quality I would more than likely listen to it instead of read.

IRMI is a resource for me in developing and maintaining my industry knowledge. This course was very well presented in a logical manner that is tied to the real world.
Your timer is very slow. It added 30 minutes to my class time. Additionally, since the test is part of this CE time for testing should be allowed within the 3 hour requirement. This 3 hour class took me about 3 hours and 45 minutes.
I liked the ability to reinforce my answer with an immediate content review, search content by chapter. Excellent reinforcement.
I did not use the audio, even though I had no use for it that doesn't mean other might not find it helpful. Thank you and God Bless.
I loved the text to voice narration to accompany the text. Especially for me, the ability to toggle narration speed actually made the retention of the materials easier. Great feature!

Rather than just seeing the incorrect answer, it would be instructive to see the correct answer and the explanation...as for the end of chapter exams. Also, the narration voice is not pleasant. There are too many mispronunciations, incorrect inflections, incorrect accents and syntax errors.

I could literally argue every single question in this test! I got almost all of them right on the first try, but it doesnt matter. These are the worst questions in the history of tests. i would literally pay someone to call me and talk to me about it. I took pictures of all of the questions. Seriously, someone needs to be fired for calling this shit english.

The read it to me takes far too long instead of just reading it yourself. The interactive videos were great.

TEST question have too close of the correct answer. Almost the same. It was not completely clear what the correct answer is like. I also do no like what my hours credit is for this long study and test. Should get twice the number of hours of credit.

This course was well-written. It made me think about the things I want to incorporate into my own personal Code of Ethics. I appreciated the audio option a great deal. I'm glad I tried it! I really liked the short videos of scenarios illustrating the previous content. They helped the content "stick" in my mind, and clarified the content. Also, the video narrator had fantastic diction!!! Quite pleasant to listen to; I even began to anticipate the next one.

This course is for life and annuities and is the closest thing to an ethics class for health. For those that do not deal with life or annuities, having to look up life insurance terms makes this class much harder than it should be.
Not being able to print out the training was a problem. However, I was told this was due to an NC require that you cannot control.
