I thought the test at the end was extremely difficult. For CE it should not be that difficult. I felt like the questions were trying to stump me and make me choose the incorrect answer.

I went ahead and did all 24 hours here vs getting my ethics through EInsurance as my license expiered tiday nd they never sent me anything or reported my 3 hours of ethics with them. Question 12 had incorrect answers. It asked the law of agency describes the relationship between. all 4 answers were the names of insurance companies. the correct answer is between a principal and an agent.

I really liked this course. I though ethics was just do the right thing, but there are so many things to think about, and really consider. This was a great course! Also I liked the examples, they really got you to think. I feel we need to be reminded more often at our jobs as agents.

This course is very long and I had to take a few days to go over the content. I wish you could focus each chapter on one type of Acord, as it seemed you kept going back to discuss other Acords while learning about another one, maybe having a chart with comparisons would have been more helpful and less confusing.
The website kept freezing and I would have to log out and go back in. This was my only issue. Thank you.
The A.I. voice sometimes pronounces words and phrases word awkwardly.

Five hours is very long for this topic. Maybe break into 2 sessions, a 3 credit and a 2 credit.
The "read it to me audio" must have been AI since some of the words were not pronounced correctly, and there were no pauses between sections. A person would have known to pause.
The flexibility to complete when time allows is a huge plus!

This course was far too hard. I scored well on the exam, but quite frankly these questions were intentionally worded in an awkward manner. My industry experience got me through this content, however, this course material is far too advanced for a CE course not taught "in person." The exam questions were intentionally worded in a confusing way in which searching through the chapter would not get you to the information sufficient to answer the question. This course needs to be drastically improved.

Would like to see you refrain from use of vernacular terms, such as the word ''shady.'' This word is not a professional word with a clear, distinct definition - it is immature.

Great class overall. Broad overview of insurance fraud and all aspects of it. Always good to reup your knowledge on these topics. Not to long for a 6 credit hour class and final exam was fairly easy if you read the material. Exam questions were a good mix between definitions and scenarios.
Even though online are convenient I do like actually going to a class to interact with other Agents and discussions that arise

As someone with a PhD in ethics, I found the understanding of ethics to be poor by the course writers. While it is true that there are many definitions of ethics, for instance, this should not lead to the conclusion that ethics is relative, or that it is determined by a group or society. Also, the definition of morality being about personal beliefs, whereas ethics is group-oriented, is false. I would encourage WebCE to consider sources that specifically teach teach business ethics from a realist perspective, as it the only framework sufficient for grounding claims that fraud is wrong in insurance, or what Enron and AIG did is wrong.

the long modules that just reads everything to you can be hard for some to grasp. some people are visual and active learners. I found this course to be complicated i because I cannot learn only by listening and reading. adding charts for matching, maybe some linked videos can help individuals like me who need to be active and engaged in their course for retention.

This particular course had a few typos/incorrect sentences. The one I can remember was the activity that asked about what you can do to lower risk on homeowner's policy claims but all of the answers were specifically for autos. It was just mislabeled I was very confused!! I thought it was a trick question. The other I can remember was on the final exam on the question about the girl whose friend's car caught on fire.

Practice questions, and some test questions, asked for answers when there was incomplete information to make an informed decision in the body of the question. This was frustrating throughout.

Work on the AI "read aloud" as some words were misspoken. Also, the speaking needs to be sped up a little because I did the entire course with read aloud and it took too long. Maybe speed it up by 10% at least.

I noticed repetitive use in questions on the exam of "except". I think there are too many questions that use this for choosing answers. Some situation questions are rather lengthy to get to the point of what the questions is.

Great explanation\refresher on ethics requirements and training
The one thing that I disliked was that there was not enough time scheduled to complete the course. I believe that more than an hour and a half should be given to make sure that we have enough time to truly process and understand the material and apply it on the exam.
I can't listen to audio books or pay attention when someone is talking At me; I almost immediately zone out. I got around this by simply reading the material, but it was just painful. I strongly suggest you break up the material in smaller pieces instead of giant walls of text, maybe add a few videos of some kind (everyone loves cartoons), graphs or interactive graphics

I know it's picky, but I hated that the speaker mispronounced ACORD, excess and several other words throughout. Or reading court cases it seemed like he didn't know what he was saying. Speaks to the credibility of the training.
Love the audio as it helps to reinforce the material in another way aside from reading it.

Grammatical mistakes throughout and the assumption that certain practices in Life and Health insurance are inappropriate for people with Property and Casualty training (or visa versa) made the examples and quiz/test questions unnecessarily complicated.
The course is very easy to navigate and I love that you can go back to the material if you cant finish.
I miss the days when we had a book as the current method glues us to a computer screen even longer than it does at work.

Please review the wording of Chapter 10-Quiz question #1. It is very poorly worded and confusing. Also, the "correct" answer to question #1 is really not correct because market value should not be used to justify over-insuring a property. In reality, none of the answers provided are correct. They are all wrong.
The pacing of the audio format is sometimes counterproductive. The audio doesn't pause where a commas exist, for example. I use WebeCE almost exclusively because I'm instructed to by my organization.
Okay, this was an absolutely fascinating course! Not only did I actually ENJOY the material, but it really enlightened me on what to watch out for in the way of possible deception and potential fraud. Seriously, this should be a MADATORY course for ALL insurance agents. You outdid yourselves on this one!

It would be great to have a variety of learning options such as videos with examples. This course included a lot of reading and can get boring at times, even though the information was beneficial. It would be helpful to include a variety as everyone learns differently.

Give more information about proctor requires ahead of scheduled course/ test to lic. consultants to allow time for them to select a proctor who would be readily available.

The grammatical errors and sentence structure are distracting. The content and meaning were conveyed appropriately however, the use of spell check is not enough to quantify the value of the composition of the class. I've used WebCE since 2007 and have not seen this level of grammatical errors. I recommend an evaluation (end user review) prior to release of the course in the future.

Some of the content was likely written by someone with only academic knowledge of insurance sales and claims. There is no agent in their right mind would turn in a claim for double $ the loss that was denied twice - the loss to property was already evaluated in the two prior losses. The very first question in the first section of the course is incorrect. it refers to refraining offers of meals and gifts to employees of the company the answer said clients.....which is incorrect. We cannot offer employees gifts etc like an Underwriter or claims adjuster to influence a sale or outcome of a claim.

For the amount of content provided in this course, it should at a minimum be a 10 credit course.
I don't think it is necessary to attempt to trick or deceive in your test questions. Level of difficulty does not equal word disorientation. The class has an educational purpose and the questions should reflect the content and not try to confuse the student. We want to learn the material please prepare questions that accurately reflect the content.
Many questions were really poorly written. What did anna tell so and so. I dont know I was not there. Many questions were like that. Do better.
The read-it-to-me audio was definitly not human. Improper pronunciation was distracting instead of helpful
Some of the content was too "wordy" in that I lost what the actual content was saying. The information could be retained more if some of the content was "to the point" or simplified.

The format of asking questions with the EXCEPT option has a tendency to make the questions more confusing than they need to be.
IT'S A 3 HOUR COURSE THAT TAKES 3 AND A HALF HOURS TO COMPLETE. IT WOULD BE UNETHICAL TO NOT GIVE ME CREDIT FOR ALL 3.5 HOURS INVESTED. THAT IS WITH THE COMPUTER READING TO ME.
The wording of the test questions and the EXCEPT are a bit misleading. Trick questions on exams should be removed.

The California addemdum asked agents and brokers not to copy and paste the same text in every question of the fraud reporting form, and then proceeded to copy and paste trice each check point question. Also, the material took me a whole work day to listen to.

Without anything that requires interaction other than pre-test questions, it can be difficult to stay focused. Courses with interactive portions are a bit easier to stick with.

I disagreed with some of the practice questions. I feel many of those were too vague.
Positive: good course material and right amount of content. Negative: Audio. Please ditch the computerized voice and use a real person recording it. The word pacing and inflections are off, words are mispronounced, and overall, it's unprofessional. A - for course material; C- for audio.
It should be more interactive in order to hold one's attention.

Most of the examples given were not issues in real-life. Agents can't just inflate the value of a claim because it wasn't paid. Life companies do their own underwriting to verify info in the applications, etc. The examples make it sound like the info the agent submits is the only thing considered by a company.

This course was great but it really took me several tries to get in because the verification of me not being a computer was confusing it had 15 different images the first time, then the 2nd time it had about 9, the finial attempt was checking for photos with a fire hydrant and it was the easiest because it just says to click until there are no more but await new pix to load.
I really enjoyed the content of this course and found it very helpful and easy to navigate.

I've been using Web CE since I was originally licensed in spring of 2008. I'm a big fan and use nobody else for my CE needs. Thank you - Matt
The only certification that requires a yearly exam. I completley understand the drive to collect as much money as possible for your memebers, but when all licensed agents are already required to obtain 24+ credit hours bi-yearly, I think doing this every year is a bit excessive. Not to mention, if the state trusts agents to know their facts for at least 2 years without renewing, I would think a basic TRIP exam would require far lesser requirements.
I learned a lot about fraud and found the information very helpful on a personal level especially all the auto fraud schemes prevalent in our society. It has made me more careful when driving.

I felt like the test questions were much trickier than the end of chapter questions. I think I'd like those end of chapter questions to be more reflective of the level of difficulty of the test questions in the future, so that I'm more prepared for the actual test/exam.

All the Ethics Training was agent-broker focused, whereas I am an Independent Adjuster, needing claims based issues (you have had this in the past). Much of this was irrelevant to my job. Your format, training, testing was otherwise okay. Could more more concise. "Designed for: Insurance professionals at any level in their career" is misleading. At least the final Exam was straightforward.

Some of the practice questions made assumptions that had not been introduced as fact elsewhere.
That is a lot of hefty reading, would like to see more beaks in the reading with a video or pictures for examples. I think a lot of people learn more visually, including myself. I would like to see more questions asked sooner to make sure you aren't too far along in the reading material before you test your knowledge.

This COI course is one of the best IRMI courses that I've taken. EVERY insurance broker and/or agent should take this course.
The course information was adequate; although, in some areas, a little repetitive. Practice questions are always good. The layout is fine. I have taken other courses where the search automatically took you too the highlighted area, which would be beneficial and helpful especially in the case of saving course time.

Some of the questions could be worded better for better understanding. I was marked wrong on a quiz because it was subject to interpretation. A key element was omitted from the question that drove my decision on how I answered.
More time should have been scheduled for the reading portion by my company. 1.5 hours was not enough time.
the audio is read too FAST and my pause button needs to move along with me so I don't have to scroll all the way back to find it and then have to scroll forward again to find my place again
I really liked that I was able to print the course book before taking exam. Its nice to have paper to read instead of computer screen sometimes. The resource was very helpful when learning the course material. The testing questions were also clear to read and easy to navigate to the next page. I enjoyed that the test questions were separated into 3 different groups instead of all on one page. Made test taking more easy.

The timer seemed to be delayed by about 8 minutes by the time I finished the 3 hour training before I could take the test.
I like how the overview, the summary and the practice questions at the end of every chapter where added, that helped me retain information better.
I feel there could be a better choice for the AI voice that read. At times it felt like it was reading run-on sentences without much voice inflection. Felt too robot like.

I had a positive experience with The Ethics Principle Course and passed the exam.
I think the issues with issuing certificates with or without the umbrella when umbrella limit not in the contract requirements should have been discussed..
The only complaint I have about the content was that the exam questions were not exactly reflected on the course material.
I wish there were not so many "EXCEPT" quiz questions. For the "Read-it-to-me" Audio, it would be nice to have an outline format to make following along more easy and transitions more clear, as well as to see where the narrator is at in the material.
I dislike the long verbiage questions in the test at the end. I wish there was a way to make the chapter tests count for the exam.
Only reason why i am not happy this course for property casualty not for life mostly. P & c term is not my cau of tee. sorry!

This course is not self-study. I had to read the book and learn the material on my own. I'm used to answering questions throughout the course prior to taking the exam. I don't like this process of downloading the book and figuring it out on my own. It's not engaging and isn't helpful.

Quiz questions were written very poorly. There were many double negatives sometimes 3-4 times in a question making it very confusing.
Adding various media. pictures, videos etc. would aid in making this more engaging.

My biggest critique would be to not use names like Main insurance brokers or Best insurance companies, it makes me have to re-read the prompt at times because it comes off as a descriptive word not a proper noun regardless if it is capitalized.

This course is very complexed with a lot of legal terms.
The voice reading was not great and I read the material much more quickly then 5 hours so spent a lot of time listening to it all again to get to the 5 hour mark
The content was well presented, but the use of legal terminology caused me to have to stop and look up words in the dictionary to understand what was being referred to. I could have used a glossary of terms like pecuniary and estoppel.

Still don't like the laziness of some of the grammar usage; namely, complete and total lack of and mis-use of hyphen usage. Specifically, two examples include: "preexisting" as a correct word, when it is NOT correct; proper spelling is "pre-existing." Second, there is NO SUCH word as "Antifraud." Can't any of you understand that "anti" is a prefix and is virtually ALWAYS hyphenated. Thus, the correct spelling is "Anti-fraud."

Using WebCE is preferred over all vendors. MUCH better than the The Institutes. My company pays for me to go through The Institutes but I will use my own money to obtain CE through WebCE. The Ethics courses through The Institues don't even include the antifraud portion, they expect agents to use the free DOI website (can take over 60 days to report classes). THANK YOU for the user friendly website and clear communication!

One question seemed to contradict what we had just learned - may have been meant to be framed to ask what was the benefit of sending COIs to the insurer, but it was just after we were told insurers don't want the agents sending COIs, since they were being used as endorsements rather than just asking for the policy changes needed.

The time allotted to complete is 3.0 hours. Progressive only scheduled me for 1.5 hours to complete (an unrealstic amount of time). If I had followed the read along format, this may have taken me 6-7 hours to complete. The most expedient method is to read over the information without the use of the read-along method provided. Far too time consuming against the 3.0 hours stated for completion at the beginning of the CE (post login).

I participated in the process and had the course read to me - and reviewed all of the quiz's and still had almost an hour of review time remaining - it seems the hours should more closely match the time required to complete but I am so glad to be done with CE for this term!

I do not sell property and casualty insurance or life insurance. The scope of this course was broader than needed for someone only licensed to sell health insurance. This caused the course to take longer than was necessary.

The content could be reduced, simplify the verbiage so that's easily understood. I've been taking CE through WebCE since approximately 2009. Obviously, the writer is good, but this time I had to look up several words for a definition to ensure I was interpreting the information properly. I'm not sure who sets forth the hours it which it can be completed, we are given 1.5 hours and it's simply unachievable. It's been a few years since I used the WebCE platform, thank you for adding the Read-it-to-Me function.

The instruction was just a little dry.
The course was good but sometimes momentarily distracting with the AI reading as artificial intelligence sometimes had the emphasis on the wrong consonant changing the meaning from a verb to a noun or vice-versa in the wrong context.

The history of certificates (year they were standardized) was unimportant. Who cares?!? 1st 40 pages were interesting. After about page 60 got pretty boring

Content was redundant
The part about suicide for life insurance fraud is offensive.
There were way to many terms and they were very vague terms! We just need the concept and the person writing the test needs to stay away from uncommon terms and stick to concept.

Exam had several typos or areas where a question had been partially rewritten, but not editorially checked (extra words left in). Also, this course was really boring with much of the same material repeated in different ways without meaningful examples to make it matter.
I really like that the sections were shorter. Even though there were a lot of sections, it feels more manageable to do shorter sections. Information was very useful.
The questions on the exams are too leading and too long.

Example given for "soft fraud" is almost identical to the practice question asking hard vs soft, yet the answer turned out to be hard fraud. Suggestion would be to get rid of the idea of hard & soft fraud and just go with fraud. This seems to exist only to have more variety in questions and throw more terms into the program.

The references to 2011 vs 2022 home endorsements were sometimes confusing, but with changes, I understand both needed to be referenced for proper underwriting of a risk and therefore, included in the course material.
I appreciated that I could increase the speed of the narration to a level I am more accustom to.

This course and the reading was very time consuming. I would recommend what others are doing for CEs and provide one hour webinars where you listen to the information and then receive a 1 hour continuing education credit. Taking an exam at the end of the course can also be nerve racking for many. Please consider removing the exam, or reducing the reading time.

Less is Best? This particular training could have less text. Got overwhelming. Too much. The ability to work at my own pace is imperative. The audio and visual learning is my preferred style. I was pleased this was available. The quizzes and final exam were designed to match what I learned and understood i.e. No 'tricky' questions.
I wish the courses were a little more cost effective or the coupon code offered and sent remains good until nearer license renewal date.

This was one of the most amazing continuing education courses let alone courses in general that i have ever had the privilege of taking. The material was extremely non-biased and provided excellent clarity and information within the first two minutes of the course. Whoever wrote this course and provided the audio should receive a raise for the amount of effort and nonbiased information. I felt engaged, immersed and refreshed because the subject matter was well displayed. Even the Scenarios were actual real-life scenarios further impacting the credibility and accuracy of the program. 10-10 would recommend this course to anyone and everyone in the insurance industry and would also say that people who are not in the insurance industry could also benefit from the material in the first 4 chapters/sections. I'm not saying it should be mandatory, but I am saying everyone should have the Opportunity to enjoy this course.

In my test, I had answered one of the questions correctly and double checked my answers before submitting. However, the questions was marked incorrect with an option I did not select nor would select. It seems the system changed my answer.

The pronunciation of the 18th Century German Philosopher Immanuel Kant is the German way, not "can't." Though "Cahnt" sounds affected it is not the way anybody who is familiar with Kant would say his name, Australians and Brits mostly excepted.
This ethics course made me think that ethics is all up to an individual. I understand that people are different and are more moral on certain things, but to say that cheating on a spouse is ethical if the couples morals say it is makes no sense to me. Next we will be saying murder and rape is ok if the person's morals are that they are ok...ethics are supposed to be universal in certain stances in my opinion, according to law and common sense. I would never have my son take this kind of ethic class because it makes no sense to me!!!

Exam questions are poorly designed. The questions should test the student's knowledge of subject matter and not their ability to understand the question or answer options. Make the question clear. Make the answer options clear. Give answer choices that test actual knowledge.
I'm going to look for a different provider in the future, because this course was WAY too involved, incredibly time consuming and put way too much emphasis on laws that would NEVER be applicable in the average person's day to day activities. The course was verbose and should be severely edited. It was not user-friendly.
I struggled with some of the wording of the exam questions. Even with an open book it was hard for me to find the answers that would best fit the question. I did pre-read all of the course content and took the test questions in the course prior to taking the exam.

The first question of my exam was asking about Extramarital affairs and that it basically wanted me to agree that its ethical to be ok with such actions. This question is RIDICULOUS and HIGHLY INAPPROPRIATE. It has NOTHING to do with insurance. The very idea that WEBCE includes such an outlandish question that erodes moral fiber is insane. Asking an agent to be "ok" with unethical and immoral actions in an ethics course/exam is beyond ridiculous. This question should be removed, if for no other reason, that it has NOTHING to do with insurance or being a professional of any kind!

Some of the material presented is not clear enough to answer the test questions accurately. This is a common theme in your process. I went back and review the course material regarding the question I answered incorrectly and the test question was clearly a bad question overall.
although at times there were a lot of concepts presented all at once in certain sections, the information was clearly presented; the examples of situations were helpful
I did NOT like the read to me voice; I found him very boring & blah with no personality.
Videos that demonstrate a role playing scenario like on Jeopardy would break things up.

The content is overly wordy & drawn out. Especially when compare to Kaplan. Important info, content could be given in shorter version. At times, it’s difficult to progress thru course in a timely manner.
I found some of the final exam questions and answers confusingly worded. Did not have this problem with any of the chapter tests.
For this particular exam, it seems the quizzes were very simplistic in questions but the exam was very specific and more demanding. Although I passed, I felt the exam was extremely more difficult than the quiz questions would have implied. The content was very informing, though, coming from someone who has been in the industry for over 20 years - it was very interesting to put the history of the certificate into perspective. Thank you.

The automated narrated audio voice is horrible! There's little to no inflection and extremely hard to listen to.
I thought some of the examples in the reading material were not real clear-cut to show the differences. For example the soft fraud story was actually used in a sample question but was then rated as a hard fraud. I found the examples a little unclear, but the test questions were clear cut

Some of the practice and exam questions were worded ambiguously. Correct answers made assumptions that were not present in the questions.

My only concern is that during the "Read it to me" audio, the voice doing the reading did so in a very monotone voice
Best ethics class I have taken . . . it was relevant, interesting and most importantly not a waste of time. I disagree strongly with the information concerning open marriage that is contrary to Biblical Principles . . . Bible is the basis for all ethical behavior and its principles for life cannot be ignored.
I really do not like the exam at the end. If the exam could be broken up, after each chapter, instead of the practice questions, that would be more helpful.
I think you are the best ones out there.

If citing Emmanuel Kant, please apply the "Categorical Imperative" accurately in the example(s). Otherwise, leave it out as an incomplete understanding weakens an otherwise well-designed course.
Exceeds expectations
you had some questions with inconsistent names causing confusion. like talking about aaron for 10 lines of text then the last line of the question mentions George... there is ZERO mention of George... I was super confused and had to re-read the question several more times .. wasting my time .. thank you

The speaker's voice is in a dull monotone. To improve listening, his voice inflection should be more pleasant and easy to listen to without falling asleep. Just sayin'

The read it to me feature is fantastic, as well as being able to follow at own pace if preferred, sample questions after each section in preparation of the exam are great as well.
Did exactly what it needed to in a user friendly way
This course took longer than expected because of only 3 hours awarded credit.
Some of the questions posed during the course, presumes that the student is well versed with certain insurance products, which is not always the case. Therefore, it was occasionally challenging to make a decision based on my limited knowledge. Example, I sell Property/Casualty products (primarily professional liability) and know very little about life insurance, so there were times when I was guessing at the point the course was trying to make.
Some of the questions were non-sensical
I did appreciate the audio, it helped me to focus on the material more than if I were reading it to myself.
I like being able to go through the material at my own reading pace.
This course was great. One suggestion would be to allow increasing vocal speed for the read-to-me feature. I enjoyed having that to follow along, but it was slow.
I did not like taking the practice tests and then taking a big exam at the end.
I have used WebCE many times to stay compliant and relevant in the insurance world; now, more than ever, online CE that is easy to use and convenient wherever I am is so important.
Please consider making the word "except" all caps in all of your questions. I noticed in both the section quizzes as well as the exam that there was inconsistency. There was also a question about infidelity, which does not apply to insurance of ethical application of insurance practices, so I thought that it was out of place. Thank you!
Having a video of someone talk about the content instead of the computer generated monotone voice. It was very difficult to listen but was needed as reading it all would have been harder.

I have used web ce for several years , this was the worst as far as exam questions ... seemed like they were from when we used paper and didnt have computers ... happy w your company but this class is outdated

Like the ability to download course content to read when I choose. Tests were a bit lengthy.
I encourage a staff member to review this course with the voice service, the cadence was slow. Scheduling a 3 hours for the course, it was finished in 4hrs. This was frustrating. The extra-martial affair question IMO should be removed.
I always enjoy Ethics training as it is always good to refresh my knowledge.

I like the audio, It helps me to read along with the time that it takes. I can figure out how long it will take me to complete it.

i believe I should get extra hours credited to me. The required number of hours is 3 and I used the read it to me audio for hour accuracy, I was headed towards 5 hours when I decided to just take the final exam! Please advise!
Questions about ethics are vague and it feels like there were trick questions by using similar words or adjectives - instead of reinforcing accuracy of information. The course materials were repeated too many times. The course was too time consuming.

I keep coming back to you because of how well organized the courses are. I was encouraged to get the free courses one of the carriers offers this year by my employer but I chose WebCe because it's more user friendly than other programs.
Had great flow, easy to find answers on test question I wasn't sure about. Enjoyed audio part to have consistency in going through material.
