I understand this class is MANDATORY but since you asked, I only sell Life Insurance and fixed or fixed index annuities therefore I found this course to be overbroad and burdensome and EXTREMELY TIME CONSUMING.

This is one of the easiest online courses that I have ever taken. It was so easy to navigate.
It needs to be more interactive as reading walls of text make it hard to stay focused our minds need to be engaged with examples and read audio as the lack of these make it hard to retain the information add this and the pass rate will not only go up but the percentages at which people acquire for the examination will be higher

For an out of State to get CA CE requirements, it is not easily understood which 8 hour course to take??
The program is very easy to follow, the only problem I found was that during searching it is too hard of find the correct words to initiate the searching.
Remove the timer.
The timer on the course was extremely off causing it to take much longer than what it should have been. There were several times where I would be reading over a page for 10 minutes, I wouldn't leave the page or open a new browser, and it would say that only 2 minutes have passed by. For example, it took about 30 minutes for the timer to move 10 minutes when I never left the course or stayed away from the content.
The courses are self-study which require an exam. I prefer taking classes with Instructors and not having to take a final exam.
The content is excellent, very practical and very clear, very easy to understand and very educational.

I know this is a Georgia state rule and not a WebCE issue, but I find the need for an impartial proctor to be an impediment. By way of contrast, FINRA does not require a proctor when completing self-study CE coursework.

I have done a lot of training in this industry and the vast majority of it has been vidoes and printouts. I was disappointed to see a simple pain text PDF with just a few graphs and charts and I am a very visual learner. There is a lot of money in annuities. Surely enough for the curriculum to enter the 21st century.

I wasn't able to use the normal audio feature for the continuation courses since it was only given to me as a pdf, I did however use text to speech and was able to achieve close to the same effect, if possible having all pdf's be like the standard pre test audio type would greatly improve my experience. non the least I enjoyed this format of studying.

The course subject gave me a new perspective on the senior problems and will personally help myself in the future as well.
Love the simple but effective presentation. I do personally like more interactive material (i.e. quizzes, thought experiments, hypothetical scenarios with applied concepts), as this helps me learn better. Possibly consider adding more optional materials such as this within the course.

The costs to complete the CE for my insurance license seemed very reasonable and the content was easy to access and to understand. The read it to me option was surprisingly helpful and helped me to digest the material quicker, I think.

Objectives were clearly set and each topic was listed well in the chapters.
I feel this entire product was falsely advertised. The name of the product is "CA Life & Health with Initial Product Training CE Package". Unfortunately there was ZERO PRODUCT TRAINING. Instead there were modules on products that I never sell, such as annuities and LTC products. I should have scrutinized better the listed courses. Then I would have seen that the "product training" part of "CA Life & Health with Initial Product Training CE Package" was a lie.

May be in future, it should be separated from fixed, indexed and variable annuities. I am writing a simple fixed annuity and not planning to sell any variable annuities in future. Why do I need to understand several concepts related to that. It might be helpful for future license holders.

a couple of the questions and course content were worded in a tricky fashion - most of the content referred to stages of "cognitive impairment", but questions in the quizzes and exam were worded the opposite way which caught me off guard.
This one was easier for me to understand compared to the LTC

This was NOT an 8 hour annuity training class. I spent a total of 19 hours reading the material and 4 hours to take the exam. I had printed the entire 170 pages -- seriously???? I don't believe that this course was vetted properly by WebCE NOR by the California Department of Insurance. Most of it was repetitive, some of it was hard to follow and incoherent. Test questions were not asked in the order of the material presented. I have taken online classes from you before and they were MUCH simpler and NOT 170 pages of material. I also order online classes from formerly the Real Estate Institute now Aceable Insurance LMS. Their 10 Credit Hour Classes are 48 pages (6 Chapters) of material and a 50 question exam (6 page exam) and their 11 Credit Hour Classes 51 pages of material (5 Chapters) 50 question exam (6 page exam) and I can read the material and take the exam in exactly the amount of time that it says -- 11 hours for 11 Credit Hours and 10 hours for 10 Credit Hours. Their material is better written than this class was and if I could have purchased it through them, I would have. I have taken other classes from you and they have been easier to understand and better written. I suggest that you get your money back from the author as this was the most poorly written, difficult self-study class I have taken since being licensed to sell insurance and annuities. As I said half the material was redundant. They had everything from soup to nuts. In reading the beginning it seemed as if half the material was written for what an insurer needs to do when they put together the annuity paperwork than for the agent/producer to put on the paperwork. Then the later Chapters were a repeat of material one read in the earlier Chapters. I seriously think that this could have been better written and the material less cumbersome and more condensed. In any event that is why I am saying I wouldn't recommend it from your organization because whomever put this together didn't know what they were doing and just dumped everything in there with no rhyme or reason! Seriously -- 19 hours to read a self-study 8 hour class and 4 hours to take the exam using open book? Come On. Winn Publications should pay me to take this course.

What I didn't like about this course is asking personal perspective based questions leaves a lot to possibly be mis-interpreted, I think it would be beneficial to the success of others when the topic of ethics comes up to keep questions fact related, clear and concise.

There was one question in the first test (I think) where the correct answer was shown as the obligation to provide coverage for the client. I think you should add if the client is insurable. One cannot be obligated to get coverage for someone whose health makes them uninsurable. FWIW, sh

This course is quite boring in its presentation. I feel that there must be some sort of instructions from the state of California that require it to be a .pdf format. It is not engaging in that format and quite a bit of information to get through.

I found the proctor instructions to be confusing at first. The way it's described on the site makes it seem like you must have a proctor logged in using ZOOM meeting but I eventually found where it says it can be done in person with a proctor monitoring your exam.

This is what I expect from a CE course, not a boring nonsensical video.
For some reason had difficulty printing out almost 200 page book because only requested one printing but printed different parts here and there becoming confusing to put together and then had to reprint what was missing. Weird.
Some of the questions asked on the exam were not in the class. Some of the questions were trick question. No quizes with this course, should be!

One thing I really appreciated about this coursework was how clearly it explained the concept of annuity suitability, especially aligning the product recommendations with the clients liquidity and financial objectives. On the other hand, the section on Medi-Cal hardship felt a bit rushed and harder to follow. I think it would benefit from a few more real world examples or flowcharts, and that those might make it a little more digestible.

Had a last minute study and had many interruptions as this as my busy weekend with deadlines, but I passed. I called the State of CA and I was told I had to finish the 4-hr class in annuity, which I did in March, but I check and was told differently. Thank you.

I spent 5 hours studying course material. I could have easily passed the course without reviewing course material. The exam should have more questions and be a little harder or course material should be more condensed.

Over all good but for this course 8 hr annuity CE was unhappy that on the CA CE site it only mentions the 4 hr annuity training being required. But came to fine out after I purchased and passed the 4 hr CE training that I needed to do the 8 Hr training so waste of $ and on WEBCE site it shows 4 hr as what is needed to complete but no mention of 2025 new rule. I felt I should have gotten credited toward 8 hr course since 4 hr course was not required. very disapointing did reach out to WEBCE but no consideration even though long time customer. So even though I like webce may consider other options.
I noticed an error on page 14, the numbers don't make sense. the following phase reads "Costs can be calculated hourly, daily, monthly, or annually. They can be calculated in current and future dollars. For example, an individual can enter a Sacramento zip code and see that the monthly median cost of an adult day health care facility is approximately $9,1951,257 (as of 2024). In 2034, that same facility cost is projected to be $1,689." I hope this gets fixed and please tell me what the correct numbers should be.

The search function for the course material (since this was designed as an "open book" learning/testing package) to be quite weak and to me, inadequate. I put-in relevant key words and most of the time, got "no matches." I feel that aspect of the whole learning/testing experience was disappointing and needs work.

The read it to me aloud function did not work on both computers I tried and did not automatically continue as I had selected. It made me keep clicking to start it, and also towards to end would not check that I completed sections until I clicked continue, went back to the section and forwarded again.
The two Annuity courses I took this renewal were very textbook and boring. There were too few real-life examples. There were no quizzes as in the other modules. It would have been better as a video with examples and realistic scenarios.

Difficult to read so much content before doing anything interactive, such as non-graded quizzes. I am not SEC licensed and struggled to differentiate/apply material accordingly at times. I found it offensive that visual and hearing impairments were described as signs an individual may not comprehend annuities enough to make informed decisions. Materials and presentations should be made using appropriate accommodations for individuals who need them. Their hearing and/or vision is quite separate from their intellectual capacity.

I have been a return customer and like WebCE Courses and the Telephone Customer Service Staff, that is very helpful. Regarding Course Content: Some Page Formatting could be improved. Examples: Headings at the bottom of a page with content on the next page, or truncated tables spanning 2 pages. There should be a "Page Break" feature for the Author or Typist to correct this formatting. There were some typographical errors that should be reviewed and corrected. I do appreciate and like WebCE. Course was designed to provide the most basic level of understanding of a relatively simple aspect of very complex issue. It met it's stated goals, but wouldn't it have been better to have a comprehensive course that trained people for more proactive eays to sus out elderly abuse?

I find the amount of exams and questions very excessive for a 1 hour only class. I will not take anymore classes with WebCE.

Being required to stay in the course for 2.5 hours when I didn't need all that time was frustrating and wasted a lot of my time. I should have been able to take the test when I was ready. Otherwise, it was a good course.
Some questions did not make sense. I can's tell you which one it was now, but it seemed to contradict its self.

Read aloud was excellent. I would like to have the option of verbally saying turn page forward or go back a page (hands free). I would like to have the option for video and going back and forth between video and reading or listening on every class.

I expected the compensation transparency to include the CAA disclosures required under federal law for health plans.
I disliked that the page numbers did not tie out with the content page's numbering. There are 9 pages without a number which means wen I wanted to review the section starting on page 144, I needed to go to PDF page number 153. Adding page numbering throughout is an easy adjustment to make which will make it much easier to review a section that is of further interest.

I spent weeks trying to find this course until my manager finally emailed the link. The amount of reading is daunting, video form would have been much easier to learn and get through the course. Parts of the course were very difficult to understand so not being able to ask anyone questions left you not understanding or knowing what you needed.

The material pertaining to the California Life and Health Guarantee Association was not very clear. Therefore, I answered the exam question incorrectly.

When i am done with the course it is necessary to go out of the course and then back in to obtain the test this can be confusing there should be some button to hit to take the test from the end of the chapter
On the Exam, Question 15 indicates an option as being "Flexible Level" and without the word level, I would have included that option. The Flexible option is not described in content as level nor does it make sense to be level. I cannot see the score, so perhaps I am correct. It is a tricky question.

for the CA course, i understand that this is a brand new requirement, but if we were to have a video or some sort of audio option to review the material that would assist greatly and provide higher passing scored

The AI generated voice really was a drawback. It generally made it hard for me to focus on the speaking compared to the monotony of the voice and the mispronunciation of words. I wouldn't recommend utilizing that feature.

Not the fault of WebCE, but I find it preposterous that an adviser seeking to fulfill silly CE requirements is forced to sit for 3 hours when he/she could have passed all quizzes and exams with 100% correct answers in 60-90 minutes. What's more important, putting in time, or knowing the material exceptionally well???

The content is appropriate for someone new to the subject or for someone needing a refresher.
Insurance CE requires 24 hours right? I only needed 6 total hours to complete my CE. 3 hours general and 3 hours ethics. My transcript and your look up tool should be able to communicate with each other. It keeps telling me I need more hours and the transcript says I don't.
PRE EXAM QUESTIONS WERE NOT CLOSE TO SAME ON THE FINAL EXAM?
The audio portion of the course was very robotic, perhaps even AI generated. The consistent cadence, and lack of voice inflection variation made it difficult to listen to. I prefer audio presenters who speak in a way that shows they are master presenters of adult learning.
In the wake of Super CE events and other such items, it's no longer worth the time commitment to do multi hour online trainings.
I've used WebCE before and will continue to do so for my requirements - excellent training and testing!

Since there were no pictures or other visual representations in this course, it was hard for me to stay awake through it. 121 pages of dry material were boring, and it was too wordy. Some visuals to break it up would have been a relief. The content was good, however, and I appreciated all the real life examples of fraud here in our state.
I am due for eye surgery, and the audio helped me tremendously. I appreciated the fact that I did not have to squint while trying to read through all the text materials.
Lacked interactive milestones, to include checkpoint quizzes to keep the student engaged. Content was good but presentation should be better than giving the student an intimidating 123 page document to read.
After Grading, I hope that I can know which questions were incorrect answered.

One recommendation. Have chapter modules and short quizzes after each chapter or section. Instead of just having to download the PDF booklet for said course, and only having the option to take the exam. Exam length is fine, they're just not as interactive as I would expect for a sought-after license.

1. You have to keep on changing the volume level each time you move on to the next page. 2. The search finder sucks. It will not take you to the highlighted section.
I liked the course but having to find a proctor to take it is problematic, sometimes it's hard to find a disinterested person to act as a proctor. Also it's time consuming, I have to leave my office and go where some one will qualify as a proctor for me. All low scores are due to the proctoring situation, if I could find somewhere else to go without using a proctor I would.

the pre view of the cource said self learning & PDF of materials. I appreciate to auto, and being able to read along. Yet I did not find the PDF , to review Or look up study materials. I created my own, to copy summary of each chapter. wish the PDF of materials was easier to find
Can't complain other then I have to keep taking these same basic courses to keep my license for selling life & health insurance and annuities. I did let my Securities licenses go in 2023 after 40 years. It just got to be too much of a pain.
I couldn't find info on how to add the credits to anything besides the MN insurance license.
Everything is great just wish they would say what courses you need and how many hours you needed from certain sections but was able to get everything done by calling customer service because we were completely lost.

For a one hour credit course, it was challenging, took a lot of time and asked 1/2 the number of questions for one of the 4 hour courses I completed. Very eye-opening.

The reference to a "widow" in one of the questions (within the context of describing a person who might need additional help) was inappropriate in that it perpetuated an incorrect assumption that females are someone inferior to their male companions. It would be better to describe the person as a "surviving spouse" and not simply as a "widow".

The last question was a gtrick question Which constitites an unuathorized practice? i had it wrong but was a trick. i put refer client to an attorney for legal, in notes it stated never advise to get legal advise if you are not qualified. anser was draft a contract by behalf client...trick
I found some of the test questions were not covered in the training portion. And I feel no more than 12-15 test questions is good enough

I liked the read along option and the chapter references in the exam.
I do not feel every question on the exam needs to be a paragraph.
Overall it was great - for my personal learning style, videos and interactive activities are more engaging but with the auto play audio, it was a nice blend.
California needs all their courses in audio version. I have only had one course this year over all the years I have been licensed. Very disappointing. I should not have to pay or sign up for app that will accommodate for this feature. It should be standard option in todays business climate.

Exams are interesting

The educational/reading content is clear and concise and follows the learning objectives. The practice questions also help .
One of the questions did not have an oval filled and was marked incorrect. I think there may have been a glitch when grading exam. Thank you.

Having to find a monitor for the exam was extremely inconvenient. I realize it's a state of Colorado requirement, but in my opinion, it is unreasonable given that it is a short and relatively easy exam.

When you search for a term, you should be able to skip to them directly instead of scrolling to look for highlights.
The course was educational but extremely long.

I found a mistake in the Glossary. The FINRA definition should read “An independent, nongovernmental organization that writes and enforces certain RULES FOR CONDUCT OF investment-related professionals and firms,” All Caps words added by me. I am not sure if what they write and enforce should be called rules or something else - I'm just reporting that what is there does not make sense without an additional phrase.
Most of the time, I didn't notice, but, in the future, you may want to consider having a live person record the voiceovers.
