Very well organized and made easy to understand and prepare for exam.
Excellent course content
MUCH better than another company's materials. Kudos
I like the audio.
Thanks was good to have options
Ordering form again!
This one was a little confusing but I think I have clarity
doesn't sem like a 2 credit course more like a6 or 7 credit course
Course was effective with materials and training provided. Quick course and reading with examples very helpful. Exam provided what chapter to read for information pertaining to the question. Like this course and would recommend to anyone wanting refreshed or updates or for someone trying to learn about filing status and dependency.
Great~!
Need to know more about Malta and CRAT - did a lot of research and guessing
Course was great.
So many variables to remember
A narrater that is a bit more engaging would help.
I am glade I was able to complete my CE requirement on my computer. Mainly the knowledge base ambeded in the material is priceless! Thank you.
been with you for long time and it had been very good
This was a fun course. I would provide more examples of people getting caught and the courts penalties, as they are memorable and interesting.
Quality and clarity of updated course materials, videos and course presen tations
Some of the questions didn't match the correct answer.
very easy to digest
The examples were very effective. Thank you for including examples!
EXCELLENT INFORMATION.
Very helpful update for so many new tax rule changes
Concise, clear, relevant and well organized.
easy to understand
little pricy for individuals to keep their license active
Informational, very good
Awesome
Very nice
I love the courses
Better and more examples of problems leading to sanctions and related penalties for violations would enhance the content
Even there were just 10 questions - they were quite tricky. I did have to go back to review the chapters.
The course fully met my expectations, providing a clear and thorough explanation of the laws, rules, and regulations governing tax preparation.
Great course!
Thank you.
Good course! Thanks!
Over emphasis on where to report amounts (i.e., form and line numbers). All preparers use tax software to do that. I remember because I used to file by hand! But this not the most important learning objective. Also, several errors in material.
Great course! Thanks!
I like the use of the word "prorated" when describing percentage of use.
Question No. 38 on this 45 question exam is not answerable based on the review material presented.
I received an "access denied" message trying to print the course materials in a PDF File and had to use the secondary option of printing them to a browser window. Also, I believe the answer to Question 1 (Hyde Park Corporation) may be wrong. Because it was a corporation and the straight-line depreciation method was used, it was forced to account for 20% of the $30,000 depreciation ($6000) as ordinary income. . So of the $135K gain, it should have been a $6000 of ordinary income and $129,000 of sec. 1231 gain. ...I think.
satisfied
Material did not seem to flow in order. It jumped from one thought to another thought and was hard to follow. However, overall good education.
The course was a little confusing for me regarding alimony under the TCJA. It seemed to be saying that it was deductible by the payer and to be included by the recipient.
i love the audio
It isn't until digging into the course you soon find out how much you don't know. The simple's topic becomes a challenging one. With recent changes in this category of employment, as a tax preparer one frequently is asked how to keep records and logs as an Independent Contractor. This was an excellent course.
This year the course was a little harder to go through but was able to again learn more than from where I started. For this reason, I like this course.
Great suppott staff
The information was basic. Was hoping for more in-depth information.
This was an excellent refresher course and serves as a reminder of our responsibility as a tax professional.
GOOD SO FAR
Some of the exam answers are more like common sense thinking vs. re-review the chapter(s).
lots of the questions were not current answers needed to be reinvestigated
The course give out alot of examples that help the learners to understand easily.
Overall, I was satisfied with the course. My only compliant is that I found it sexism that the narrative assumed that the ride-sharing drivers are "he." I understand using gender specific pronouns in the examples based on the names of the individuals in the examples. However, in the body where there is no specific person or example, it would be best to use gender neutral pronouns, like they OR s/he.
The best CE in town!
I really liked that there was audio with the lessons because I would read on my own and then listen to the audio to make sure I understood and read it correctly
One sample question (answer) incorrectly implied that a non working person can claim dependent care credit - making correct answer impossible
A little more explanation on some of the examples
The Case Studies are great.
Very informative.
It seemed like a few questions were tricked questions Overall it was good courses
Provide more case studies. Thank you
The exam questions and the text did not go together
Used this company for years!
very helpfull
Very challenging
In regard to chapter 4 for the same sex marriage, it was somewhat confusing as to what the question answer was. I would recommend that the language used for that section in the material be put forth a little more clearly.
easy to follow course
Simply excellent keep up the good work!
Simply excellent through and through
Thank you
understandable language and great examples
Enjoyed taking the course. It was very informative.
Thank You!
Thank You
It would have been nice to have some videos. The read out loud was very helpful, but there was still a lot to read or have read to you.
Very informative course
Great courses and timely information.
I love the WebCE courses!
Make a clear and direct approach on explaining the rules and examples.
I want updates that apply for the 2025 tax year.
A very good refresher course for everyday operation.
keep up the good work...
Great course, well done
One of the practice answers regarding "home sharing" had an incorrect answer (regarding questions to ask if a personal residence was rented - # of days) The description for the "correct" answer was correct but marked as incorrect.
I have been taking this course for years and like the audio and practice tests
One question was about unscrupulous CPAs. In the chapter test promising "free" was the right answer. In the the final test promising "free" prep was the wrong answer. Might be a problem here.
For this module, "Gigs & Taxes - CETC" I take exception to question 3 which begins..."Uber launches robotaxi services..." My interpretation of that question is ad advertisement/promotion for Uber and the answers are fully subjective. All four answers could be correct. After studying the possible choices it became clear that the person who wrote the query was making more of a political statement (benefits of EV's, etc.) than anything that has to do with the subject at hand... taxes and tax code implementation. All four answers could be accurate (and quite frankly, are). Uber of course wants to reduce their labor cost (answer A). Of course Uber prefers arbitration rather than litigation (answer B). The whole Uber business model is dependent on expanding into traditional taxi markets (answer C). Which leads to my bottom line: Did someone at Uber contribute to the source material and write that question? Seems highly likely.
The course does not discuss tax treatment of shared housing. How do you report someone renting only one room in a big house? and how it is reported if it was rented for short times only? depreciation? expanses? etc. Also, you don't mentioned the supplement statement that Uber gives the drivers with all the fees. It's an expanse that the drivers can take but the tax expert has to ask the client for this statement so they can deduct the expanses.
There's an error in the section regarding Social Media Fraudulent Filing and Bad Advice. Appears to be a large typo with text that should have been deleted. Thank you! Great course.
As a CFP, I would really like to see a CE course on using residential real estate in financial planning. This course was more intended for accountants.
great for reading
On the final exam, question 5, letter D, has a typo - it is missing Schedule C. It currently says "Schedules and EC." I knew the answer, and the other three options were not correct.
Need many more specific depreciation example scenarios.
Over detailed
Please look at the answer for Question 5 about making $11,500 for the year. I believe there is a letter missing in the correct answer. I think it should be Schedule "C" and SE.
more examples of single parents and child support issues
I like that I could read the content and listen. This really helped me to understand better. I learned a lot about the history of a few of the gigs. I enjoyed this course and the exam. There is nothing I did not like. I am very satisfied. Thanks you.
Great information!
The course was great. The only improvement I would suggest is boiling down the cluster of words used and be simple and straight-forward to make it even easier to understand.
I learned a lot, interesting articles
Too detailed for practicing practitioners.
Well written and presented
I feel the time could be a little more.
Case studies to illustrate concepts were very helpful
I have used this site/program in the past and found it to be very easy to use and effective.
Enjoyable course. Laws and application was excellent!!
As always, Thank you.
As someone who is also a real estate agent, that was easy for me.
Great course
Some stuff is out of date like the AFSP and cases from 20 years ago
videos would be very helpful on this course.
I referred another CPA to WebCE today.
Loved having the screen shots of IRS website, forms, etc!
Good introductory course to the gig economy. I like that provided some history and updates to how it all started and the legal battles it has faced.
Math errors in practice section 1 and 4
I really like your courses and how they are presented and the use of back and forth to review the content. However, the narrator, which I am guessing to be an AI, has a problem with pronunciation of acronyms and some words. Maybe it is just me, but I find this very distracting and find myself going back to reread the previous paragraph often to make sure I understand what was meant . You might want to listen to the 1031 exchange portion of this course to get an idea of what I am talking about.
Rey nice
This course explained "boot" well. I found that to be a very confusing topic when I was originally studying for the EA exam (12 years ago.)
Learn something new every time! Thank you
Material presented in an informative, interesting way. Kudos for keeping the attention of the reader. Thank you!
So much tax detail for so little testing!
Needs to be updated.
Starting with chapter 4, there are numerous errors. Missing 'un', missing commas, practice questions with no correct answers because amounts were incorrect. Need another set of eyes to review it SOON.
Love the ease of use, and ability to log in on many devices
Good job
This was one of the best classes I've taken on this subject. Everything was explained thoroughly and I learned a few new things besides.
Interesting topic. Easy to tie exam back to course content
Thank you for being the BEST CE provider.
I found this course complex but worth doing, especially how to calculate ordinary gain versus long term gain.
All is well.
The course was great, BUT... it is riddled with typos! One of the exam questions actually asked if the employer is required to give the employer evidence. Huh?
This was a good course. I have a pretty working knowledge of this area because I prepare Schedule C Businesses for Sole Proprietors and vehicle expenses are often a large expense item. However, I still still felt I learned some new things.
THANKS AGAIN AGAIN AND AGAIN
This course was much more technical and difficult than other 2 unit courses.
Domestic Production Activities was listed as a topic but there was no information about it. It was in the glossary though.
Could the print be any smaller on the printout?
Clear, concise and informative.
First of all I love WebCE and I did okay on this course. It was adequate but I felt some of the questions and answers were confusing and one was sort of an opinion. For example, one question asked what is not an uncommon deduction (I believe). There is a double negative, and "uncommon" is subjective to different practices and clientele.
thanks for making our CPE possible in an efficient and effective ways.
Informative and well presented.
The first section was REALLY long and could be divided into two sections.
When choosing courses, it flagged the ones I had already taken and showed me how many CE credits I had for each area. The pricing is excellent and I like that I can order 24 hours of courses (annual suggested for an EA) for one low price even though the total individual price far exceeded the bundled price.
Clear, concise, knowledgeable and informative.
rECOMNDED
thank you , great course
The answer to one of the final questions was incorrect or the text material was incorrect. The text stated that performing artist could deduct expenses if they exceed 10% of income. In the final question, the expenses did not exceed 10% of income.
In the figures, there are some un-upgrade version in metric. Not changed the old data.
This course increased my knowledge and understanding of the subject material.
I like how you added examples in each lesson it help me to understand more THANKS
Some of the data is dated.
This was a very good course. It educated me on the topics very well and I learned alot.
Get an app
I want some short videos included to help me retain content and to break the continuous reading format.
Question #10- It was horrible. There was No Prior Information or Example of the question although it ended up on a quiz. I didnt like the question at all.
clear and ease of use
Great examples
Well organized and easy to understand. Thank you!!
very good
This course had great examples which makes the learning and understanding much easier.
It was easy to understand and it definitely helped me understand and remember
WELL WRITTEN MATERIALS FOR A REFRESHER COURSE.
Great course, thank you
This course is great for tax preparers, its easy to do and has the most recent information and well prepared training for us.
Questions on exam were oddly stated, for example, putting the pronouns for her and he in that order. What happened to the universal "he". Woke exam?
Great course and easy to navigate!
Good information thank you!
Excellent
Best ever.
Great work
Excellent material
Well organized and easy to understand. Thank you very much.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
I listened carefully Thank you again.
I noticed in a couple of the chapters, some of the materials used for examples were not updated correctly, which caused a bit of confusion. You need someone to go through and THUROUGHLY proof read the materials and make sure everything is updated.
I love the fact that it reads to you
Please review Question 21 Response B. I believe it is written wrong. Used Employer twice and think maybe it is supposed to be Employee and Employer. Thank you
USE of "Cannot" and "Can" in test questions were designed to be "TRICKY" in several instances.
Information is very likely to grasp and absorb.
Very good and detailed review.
This was awesome course with great knowledge material.
Error on page 32. Second example indicates $220,000 is greater than $230,00. I believe the first figure was intended to be larger.
There was at least 1 technical issue where the read-aloud audio read a code snippet .
2023 rules used for 2024 course. Form 2106 classes confusing since only certain groups qualify to use this form and it should be made clearer. Some typos in course questions.
Don't like the computer voice for instructor. Real person would be nice.
Very knowledgeable!
Easy to read
Very user-friendly.
Great CE package overall for 2024! Keep on doing this!
EXCELLENT COURSE
Great Material and course structure
Instructive.
excellent course
This was a good course. My only comment is I would have liked more detail about disposition of a vehicle and how depreciation and recapture factors in to the gain or loss or what happens when it is disposed of for no money.
Very informative, however, maybe break this unit into 2 or 3 shorter lessons. A lot of information to take in at one time.
Appreciate option to print materials to help with maintaining knowledge from cpe course.
Worth time.
very explanatory
EXCELLENT!!
Easy to understand and navigate. Thanks
VERY GOOD
Easy to follow. Clear and concise.
THE WRITTEN MATERIAL NEED A LITTLE MORE INFORMATION.
I like the illustration in the course.
happy with this course.
Very easy
Good course!
Thank you for adding the audio, it helps so much.
on practice question #2 in chapter 3. your question states that Roxanne paid $3350 in student loan interest in 2024 . how much can she deduct on sch 1 of her 2022 tax return ? typos should say "deduct on sch1 on her 2024 tax return"
very useful information in course for my tax work.
Errors and mistakes make learning difficult
everything is good.
thank you!
met expectations
There are a couple of typos in some of the tables where dates are listed.
More interactivity, visuals, and graphics.
your exam asked a question on IRA contribution amounts that you did not even mention in your chapters...not good...
I'm preparing for 2023 tax season, and the figures I'm seeing is for 2022.
easy to follow
The course material for this course is dated.
Listening to the AI generated voice is AWEFUL! Please contact me if you would like to have a person voice the material. I have read for audio books in the past amd would be happy to record these courses for you at a very reasonable fee.
Easy, affordable, and a good number of helpful examples. Very pleased, thanks!
you need to read the question few times to get the true meaning many time is nard or misleading
used good examples
Course content helped me to better understand the topics.
Of all the WebCe courses I have participated in over the last few years, this is by far my favorite! The quality of the content was great and very interesting; I found myself really enjoying the author's view and language use. It was a great read! Thank you, Dawn Daniels
Your really should update numbers for current year. There was a question on the exam for 2022 IRA contributions
The wording on the question about what NOT to advise the neighbor is quite tricky in its wording. My answer "C" Read: 'ignore the letter from IRS.' Is this patently incorrect, or can it be worded better? Can you give me CREDIT for this answer? Thanks!
This was for 2022 and I need for 2023
An excellent learning experience
Good content and helpful examples of the filing status and dependency rules.
the reading of the text with the auto play function is poorly done. the reader sounds like a computer and a more appropriate narrative with voice credibility could be identified.
