Overview

The Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act of 2019 brought about sweeping changes to New York's landlord-tenant laws. The act implemented a number of notable changes to protect tenants, including the imposition of limits on landlords' abilities to increase rents, evict delinquent tenants, and convert existing rent stabilized units into market-rate apartments.
