Included in the regulators' definition of advertising are social media posts. Social networking offers individuals the chance to reach large audiences quickly and reach clients otherwise out of reach. Unfortunately, the potential rewards of social media come with risks. For the financial services professional, that risk involves balancing the rules against their social media presence and posts. This course will discuss ways to balance using advertising through social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn and how industry rules and regulations impact that use.
