Overview
A personal umbrella policy provides excess liability coverage and protects people in two ways. First, a personal umbrella provides high limits over underlying insurance so people can protect their assets against major liability claims and the associated defense costs. Second, they can provide broader coverage by providing coverage for losses not covered by an auto policy or a homeowners policy.
