2024-2026 Alaska Environmental Issues and Land Use

Overview

Environmental issues affect every aspect of the real estate industry, from home prices to property development and construction. As climate change begins to have visible effects on Alaska's land and buildings, licensees must bring an awareness of these issues to each real estate transaction. Licensees must also offer clients information about energy efficiency and conservation, as consumers place greater value on reducing their environmental footprints. Understanding the interconnection between building codes, land use regulations, and energy conservation will offer advantages in the marketplace.

This course provides in-depth information about energy conservation efforts in Alaska, products that help conserve energy, and land development issues.

This course is mandatory for the 2024-2026 cycle and has been approved for the two-hour designated CE course on environmental issues and land use.
