Ohio Rules and Regulations Regarding Crematory Operations

Overview

All licensed crematories in Ohio must have a crematory operator on staff and must comply with specific rules and regulations governing the operation of crematory facilities in the state. This course explains the license and permit requirements for crematory facilities and operators, and explores Ohio's laws that apply to the cremation process. The course concludes by examining two types of cremation authorization forms, the responsibilities of authorizing agents, acts that are prohibited by crematory operators before cremation, and the rules governing the final disposition of unclaimed remains.
