Understanding the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)

Overview

The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977 (FCPA) focuses on corruption and anti-bribery of foreign officials. The FCPA's anti-bribery and accounting provisions were initially adopted to restore confidence in the American business system. This course will focus on the anti-bribery provisions of the FCPA, as well as the accounting and books and records requirements contained therein.
