Overview

The Oregon Law and Rule Required Course (LARRC) 2026 – 2027 provides a review of recent statutory and rule changes affecting real estate licensees, including updates to supervision requirements, changes to wholesaling regulation, mandatory representation agreements, revisions to continuing education and proficiency assessments, and important updates for property managers and owners. The goal of this course is to introduce you to, and deepen your understanding of, recent legislative updates in Oregon, that will affect your daily practice.

Learning Objectives

  • Explain the licensing requirements, scope of authority, and supervisory framework established for timeshare sales agents 
  • Recognize the regulatory requirements for residential property wholesaling, including registration, disclosure rules, and restrictions established in HB 4058
  • Describe the mandatory elements of written listing and buyer representation agreements and the limitations on future right to list contracts
  • Define the role and responsibilities of managing principal brokers and their supervisory obligations and documentation requirements 
  • Outline the updated continuing education and proficiency assessment requirements applicable to brokers, principal brokers, and property managers
  • Identify the new legal processes that property owners may use to remove unauthorized occupants and the revised notice options available in certain property sales to tenants
