Fair Housing in New Jersey and Across the Country

Overview

The federal Fair Housing Act made it illegal to discriminate against people based on their protected classes. It prohibits discrimination in residential real estate-related transactions to ensure that renters, buyers, and borrowers are treated fairly. New Jersey state law expands these protections through the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (LAD) and the Fair Chance in Housing Act. This course was designed to meet the fair housing/LAD continuing education requirement for all New Jersey licensees and the fair housing/anti-bias training required for members of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
