Flood Insurance 2.0

Overview

Flooding is the costliest natural disaster in the U.S., affecting all 50 states. Around 90% of all natural disasters involve flooding. Licensees need to counsel consumers on flood risks and the benefits of flood insurance. This course covers the National Flood Insurance Program, Risk Rating 2.0 pricing, mandatory insurance for certain homeowners, flood zones and maps, private vs. NFIP coverage, flood hazards, local mitigation efforts, federal disaster relief, and the role of real estate licensees in advising clients on flood risks and disclosures.
