Overview

This course reviews Georgia license law, touching on a variety of important topics, including licensing requirements for brokers, salespersons, and community association managers; trust account procedures; responsibilities during broker management and supervision responsibilities; advertising requirements; agency relationships; unfair trade practices; and fair housing and antitrust violations. It satisfies the mandatory three-hour license law course requirement Georgia licensees must take during their four-year license renewal period.

  • Describe how to get a real estate license and why it might be denied, suspended, revoked, or sanctioned
  • Explain brokerage engagements and the duties brokers owe to seller, buyer, landlord, or tenant clients
  • Distinguish between dual agency, designated agency, and transaction brokerage
  • Recognize the management responsibilities that qualifying brokers must provide for affiliated licensees
  • Identify the requirements for having a brokerage trust account
  • Recognize whether advertisements comply with Georgia’s advertising rules and regulations as well as fair housing laws
