South Dakota Long-Term Care: Programs, Policies, and Partnerships

This course offers a comprehensive look at long-term care, the options available for today’s consumers to address the long-term care need, and South Dakota’s Long-Term Care Partnership Program. Developed specifically to meet South Dakota’s mandated initial training requirement for producers who sell long-term care policies, the course addresses the required topics set forth in the training curriculum: the nature of long-term care, available long-term care services and providers, long-term care insurance products, government-sponsored health care options, including Medicaid, partnership programs, alternative LTC funding options, and the ethical and suitability issues associated with long-term care products and policies. The course also includes a chapter on South Dakota Medicaid and has been approved for the full 8 hours of needed training credit.
