Retirement: Multigenerational Distribution Strategies

Overview

This course considers two multi-generational distribution strategies that clients can use when they have considerable wealth in qualified retirement plan accounts and want to pass such assets to heirs. It examines how irrevocable life insurance trusts can be used to create new wealth and avoid estate taxation. Additionally, the course looks at a distribution technique called a stretch IRA, which can help heirs take withdrawals over a longer period and dramatically increase the lifetime payout they receive.
