Overview

Real estate professionals who are well informed in the laws of agency will ensure consumers have correct and reasonable expectations regarding the duties and responsibilities of the agent.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge of the real estate brokerage community regarding the duties and obligations owed by brokers and their salespersons and broker associates to real estate buyers and sellers. It explores how agency relationships are created and terminated, agents' fiduciary duties, and the potential liabilities that may arise during such relationships. The course also examines the different types of agreements that are commonly used, including agency agreements, disclosure agreements, listing agreements, and agreements between other brokers.
