Overview

When a loss occurs, it is the claims adjuster's duty to deliver the promises made by the insurance company to the insured under the insurance policy. A critical step in delivering these promises is the investigation and documentation of the claim.

This course provides a detailed overview of claims investigation and documentation. The course explains how investigation fits into the overall life cycle of a property or liability claim and explores common sources of information that are used in investigating claims, including statements and interviews.
