Commercial Lines 101

Overview

Commercial lines insurance provides financial protection for businesses and other organizations. Examples of commercial lines policies include commercial property policies, the commercial general liability (CGL) policy, the business auto policy, workers compensation policy, professional liability policies, and the commercial umbrella policy. all of which are covered by this course. This course also provides a review of the anatomy of an insurance policy.

  • recognize in general how the insurance industry operates
  • identify basic components of a typical property or casualty insurance policy
  • recognize in general the coverages offered by standard commercial lines policies
