Ethics. Morality. Principles. Nearly all insurance organizations and associations have at least a cursory focus on ethical behavior by employees or membership. Codes of ethics are posted on association websites and are often included in employee handbooks. The insurance industry expects agents to operate on an ethical basis.

This course looks at ethics and how ethics play a part in the daily operations of agents and their agencies. It examines the ethical responsibilities of agents, the laws governing ethical expectations, and what traits exemplify an ethical agent. The course also focuses on the application of ethics in various settings and circumstances and helps agents make sounder ethical decisions when dealing with client, corporate, or public situations.
