20 Key Questions to Ask When Writing Homeowners Insurance (CO)

Overview

One of an insurance agent’s primary responsibilities when writing a homeowners contract is to uncover exposures to loss. This is a responsibility to the client who has little knowledge of what is covered and what is excluded. No insurance agent wants to hear a client ask why a claim isn’t covered or why the agent has to tell them it wouldn’t be or offer other coverage or higher limits. The key to avoiding these questions is asking the right questions when writing or renewing a homeowners policy.

This course presents 20 key issues that should be addressed by an agent when writing or renewing a homeowners policy. The questions are designed to help educate the new agent and serve as a reminder for the more experienced one.
