Montana Insurance Laws: Update 2021

Overview

As part of their 24-hour biennial continuing education requirement, Montana insurance producers must complete at least one hour of study on changes to Montana insurance statutes -- that is, changes made by the Montana legislature to Montana insurance laws. This course is approved for this purpose and surveys the changes made by the 2021 Legislative Session that affect life/health and property/casualty insurance.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students will:

  • know the relevant changes to the Montana Insurance Code that were brought about by the 2019 legislative session
  • be able to characterize the way in which the new laws compare with previous version
