Overview

In Alaska, sellers are required to make full disclosure of the property's condition by giving buyers a completed Residential Real Property Transfer Disclosure Statement. This course discusses sellers' disclosure duties in detail as well as a licensee's duties to disclose material defects. It also examines when the disclosure statement must be delivered to the buyer, the items that must be disclosed, and the penalties for violations. It concludes with an overview of the importance of conducting a home inspection and best practices licensees can follow to manage risk with disclosures and inspections.
